7se E Fun Unleashes $129 Premium 7SE, a Kindle Fire Competitor

E Fun has announced their newest Android tablet, the Nextbook Premium 7SE-GP. This Nextbook is an entry into the budget tablet race, but it’s a more solid entry than E Fun has put out in the past, and it’s worth a look if you’re not overly concerned about being on the cutting edge.

The Nextbook Premium 7SE-GP is an Android 4.0 Ice Cream Sandwich tablet, but it is capable of receiving OTA updates, so a Jelly Bean update in the future isn’t totally out of the question. It runs on a 1 GHz processor, backed by 1 GB of RAM. There’s an HDMI out port and a USB port that can work with 3G dongles – the tablet doesn’t have any native 3G/4G connectivity capabilities. There’s 4 GB of internal memory, along with a MicroSD card slot for more storage.

One big upgrade over previous E Fun tablets is that the Nextbook Premium 7SE-GP has full access to Google Play. The budget part comes from the lack of an advanced display, a slower processor, less internal storage, and lack of 3G. For some, none of those things will be dealbreakers. If that’s the case, the $129 Nextbook Premium 7SE-GP is worth a look.
