iPhone 6 Rumors Begin for 2013

Actually, we’re just letting you know that this is a thing that’s going to be going on for the next six months or so, or maybe the next year and a half if Apple goes the whole iPhone 5s route.

A report from TheNextWeb says that app usage logs have revealed that someone from inside Apple’s Cupertino campus has been testing out a device tagged as “iPhone6.1,” which is running iOS 7. What does that mean? It means that Apple is well into developing iOS 7 and a new iPhone. I guess that means there’s not a rumor here at all, because I don’t think anyone doubts that Apple is hard at work creating those two things. I’m not sure what else they’d be doing, if not making new iPads, iPhones, iPods, iMacs, and operating systems. That’s usually what makes those billions come in.

So, consider this a warning shot from the ever-lit cannons of the tech press world. We don’t know what will be new about iOS 7 or the iPhone 6 (besides them being faster, presumably). In fact, there probably won’t be that much new at all. But if there is something new, trust us, you’re going to hear about it, and sooner rather than later.
