Next time you go camping, you can do an even better job of leaving nature exactly how you found it.
The Goal Zero Yeti 150 is a generator that is completely solar powered. It’s not too hefty, either, weighing in at 12 pounds. And, even if it is more of an outdoors companion, it’s plenty tech-friendly, with USB ports in addition to AC and 12V outlets. The generator contains a 150 watt-hour battery, which will be fully charged after being left out in the sun for about 15 hours, thanks to the 15 watt solar panel on the generator.
CES always has a few surprises in the world of green tech, and it looks like this year will be no exception. Hopefully we’ll know more about pricing and availability for the Yeti 150 as Goal Zero shows it off in Las Vegas this week. At the very least, the Yeti 150 should give us hope that solar power is finally developed to the point where it can have practical applications for the everyday consumer.
