TATS CRU is Back at it for Cygnett Cases at CES 2013
TATS CRU, the Mural Kings and internationally renowned graffiti artists, have recently teamed up with Cygnett to produce one of the best iPhone 5 cases around. Here at CES, Cygnett has not only showed off their second TATS CRU Icon Series case, but they flew the group out to customize cases right here on the CES floor!
Here’s a quick recap, Cygnett is a great case manufacturer. Their Icon Series iPhone cases could potentially be the best case out there. It’s the perfect balance between sleek, light, and protective, plus it has some amazing artist inspired designs. Unlike most other iPhone cases, the Icon Series has a matte finish rather than a glossy finish. Not only does it feel amazing in-hand, but it looks amazing, wears better, and doesn’t show smudges or scratches.
We recently reviewed the Bronx Icon Series case, by TATS CRU. Here at CES, Cygnett snuck us their second TATS CRU case; we’re not even sure of the name (shown above). The TATS CRU team is also here on the CES floor marking up their very own custom cases. You can see below my custom L train case (representing northern Brooklyn!).
The Cygnett Icon case is a one-piece shell with cutouts for the vibrate toggle, volume buttons, and camera. There’s a nice large cutout on the top and bottom of the case for all ports and sensors. All iPhone features are perfectly accessible. We’re usually sticklers when it comes to cases that don’t exceed iPhone’s face, but the Icon series just exceeds it enough. Cygnett includes a screen protector and microfiber cleaning cloth with all of their cases.
The Cygnett Icon Series cases for iPhone 5 is available in a few different designs by different artists. You’ll have to keep checking back for the second TATS CRU case.
