The last decade has brought about many new technologies that have changed the way we listen to music, read a book and even how we meet new people. Back in the day, people would strike up a conversation by commenting on the book you were reading or discuss an interesting article in the newspaper, nowadays people are intrigued by your new smartphone or tablet. Case in point, Duane and Hope had worked in the same building for two years, but finally broke the ice when she asked him about his Sony cell phone. They started dating and are now happily engaged, thanks to that AT&T phone!

In honor of Valentine’s Day and the nearly 100 million people that own a smartphone, AT&T wants to hear your stories about how technology has introduced you to that special someone.     I’d have to say technology did help me meet my husband. Not too long ago, when we were in college, computers were newer and we had to go to a computer lab at school to use one. We were both waiting in line for the printer (a dot matrix!!!) when we both really started talking. Those old prints took a LONG time! :)

    Later that year (after we both broke up with girlfriends/ boyfriends) we worked on a joint project together and our romance blossomed in that same computer lab!

    Twenty years later we are still going strong!

    My mum is divorced and ever since that happened she had been really lonely and almost depressed. So i convinced her to try an online dating site to try get someone special back into her life. At first she was really wary of it but then she met this really nice guy who she has loads in common with and he only lived half an hour away. So she went for a date and they hit it off. Shes been with him for 4 months now and you can really see the change hes made on her. Hes friendly with me aswell which makes it much less awkward. Tech has really improved her life :)
