Tylt ZigZag iPhone 5 Case Review

The ZigZag is another fun and protective iPhone 5 case brought to you by Tylt. The ZigZag is a sleek and snazzy scratch-proof iPhone case with a nice amount of protection and the perfect amount of swagger.

The Tylt ZigZag is a dual-injected co-molded one-piece case with a hard and glossy exterior and a soft and rubbery interior. It’s appropriately named for its trendy zig zag pattern on the back of the case. The ZigZag cases are black, but feature a second color of your choice. Our gray-on-black model is the most toned down, the other colors are super vivid and colorful.

There’s a rubberized frame that runs around iPhone’s screen and buttons. It adds a nice little buffer to keep from scratching iPhone’s face. There’s really nice and comfortable button overlays for easy access. There’s a large cutout for the vibrate toggle, a cutout for the headphone jack, and a cutout for the speaker, mic, and dock connector. Compatibility will vary with headphones, chargers, and docks, which is why we generally prefer a completely open bottom.

Verdict

The ZigZag case is really a sharp looking case for iPhone 5. The high gloss two-tone finish really pops. It’s supposed to be scratch resistant though it does collect some subtle hard-to-see scratches. The Tylt ZigZag is currently available for iPhone 5 in vibrant blue, yellow, red, purple, and the toned-down gray model we reviewed. It’s currently available from Tylt.com or Amazon for $34.99

The Good: Durable, Protective, Fun colors, Easy to apply/remove, Rubberized button overlays
