Those with the LG Optimus G Pro can now download a software update just for their device, which brings in a couple new camera and video features, plus some extras to help manage power and data usage.
Previously, the Optimus G Pro had the ability to take video with the front-facing camera and rear-facing camera simultaneously, resulting in picture-in-picture video. The update now brings Dual Camera, which provides the same feature for taking stills. Video pause and resume allows you to pause recording, so you can create one highlight video without having to stitch together separate videos later. While you’re watching videos, the update will also bring eye-tracking to the Optimus G Pro, which will pause the video if you look away.
Unused Apps will keep tabs on your app usage. If it finds that you have an app that you haven’t used in months, Unused Apps will let you know, and will give you the option of uninstalling it if that app is taking up background data that might count against your plan. There are also now shortcuts that will take you straight to power and data management settings.
You can now download the update over Wi-Fi via Settings.
