Last night, G-Shock Was throwing a party to celebrate its 30th Anniversary. One of the biggest announcements to come out of the show was their new collaboration with Eminem. Staying true to their roots, the G-Shock will still continue to be nearly indestructible but now with even more celeb cred behind it. Casio’s newly minted Eminem G-Shock (GDX6900MNM-1) is a rugged timepiece with Eminem written all over it for their 30th anniversary – literally.
It’s a black matte watch with a black watch face. The wrist strap features the skyline of Eminem’s native Detroit, while the rest of the watch has dashes of Eminem’s trademark backwards E and his signature as Shady. And, like any proper G-Shock watch, you can expect water and shock resistance, as well as an LED light, five daily alarms, and 48-city world time.
Not only was a new watch from the rapper announced, Eminem also performed last night in New York at G-Shock’s Shock the World event. He whipped the crowd into a frenzy and pretty much guaranteed that throngs of G-Shock fans are more than willing to lay out the cash when his watch hits the streets.
The Real Slim Shady watch will be officially available this December as a limited edition piece, and will sell for $180.
