Is it finally time to replace the truly god-forsaken printer still chugging its way into the grave at your office? Then, Brother would like you to take a look at their new Business Smart Pro line of printers, particularly the leading model – the MFC-J6920dw.
The new printer is aimed at small-to-medium sized businesses, and tries to help you out by increasing volume across the board. It has two paper trays, so you can stuff it with more paper at once, and the ink cartridges are bigger to handle the immense amount of printing you’ll need to do, without you having to order a new round of cartridges constantly. Print speeds have been upped to 22 ppm black and 20 ppm color. In Fast Mode, those speeds are upped to 35 ppm and 27 ppm, respectively. It’s also an all-in-one device – it’s your printer, scanner, copier, and fax machine, and can handle all of those functions with standard-sized paper or 11” x 17” ledger paper.
It also has the advantage of being completely wireless. It can connect to the office Wi-Fi network easily, and, even better, it can just work directly with mobile devices for printing. It has NFC capabilities, so you can just tap your NFC device to get started on printing a document. You can handle all of the menus on the printer side using the 3.7” touch screen. Also, you can use Brother Cloud Apps to take pictures of paper documents with your mobile device, and save them in a formatted file for printing. The printer also has built-in connectivity to Facebook, Picasa, Flickr, Evernote, and Dropbox.
The Brother Business Smart Pro MFC-J6920dw is available now for $300.
