Belkin is following up its Charge + Sync Dock for the iPhone 5 with the Express Dock, a charging dock for the iPad. With the advent of wireless Bluetooth accessories, we haven’t seen very many Lightning accessories ever since Apple made the switch, but it looks like Belkin is intent on filling that niche.
The Express Dock doesn’t have much fancy to it – there’s a Lightning charger and a USB cord sticking out of the back, for charging or syncing to iTunes. The design, naturally, fits in with the minimalist Apple look. The only extra bonus you’ll get here is a little dial that lets you raise or lower the Lightning connector. That way, you can raise it a little bit so you can charge your iPad without taking off its case. It looks like even pretty thick cases (if you have rugged, outdoors-geared cases) will be good to go.
The Express Dock for iPad is available now from Belkin for $60.
