It’s easy to forget sometimes, but Samsung does indeed make Windows Phones. Their newest one sticks with the Ativ handle – the Ativ S Neo. It’s coming to AT&T at a pretty reasonable price, especially for a 4G LTE phone.
The Ativ S Neo is a 4.77” phone powered by a dual-core 1.4 GHz processor. It’s got a 8 MP camera on the back, with 1.9 MP front-facing camera. The rear camera is capable of taking 1080p video, although the display on the Ativ S Neo isn’t quite up to that level. For storage, you have 16 GB of internal storage, with a microSD card that accommodates up to 64 GB of additional memory and 5 GB of free cloud storage from AT&T Locker. And, as mentioned before, it’s good to go with AT&T’s 4G LTE network.
For the most part, the Ativ S Neo is just your standard Windows Phone 8 device, with mid-range specs. The one nice addition is the Ativ Beam, which is pretty much the same idea as the S Beam on Samsung’s more popular Android phones, allowing for short range exchange of files.
The Samsung Ativ S Neo will arrive in AT&T stores on November 8. You can get it for $100 with a two-year contract or with the AT&T Next program for $21 per month, which lets you upgrade your phone before the two-year contract is up.
