Happy Plugs indeed. Who wouldn’t be happy with a pair of solid 18 carat gold earphones?
The Happy Plugs Deluxe Edition earphones themselves look a little like pre-iPhone 5 era Apple earphones, but I guess the main thing here is the gold. So much gold. 25 grams of gold, which gives the Happy Plugs as much heft as any other piece of jewelry. We do love it when fashion and tech collide.
Of course, Happy Plugs really knocks it out of the park with the price. At $14,500, these are surely the most expensive set of earphones I’ve ever seen. I’m not 100 percent sure I can say that about headphones in general, though, and I don’t know what that says about me or the world we live in. Anyway, you can also get the Happy Plugs in one of many different colors for $30, but that’s not why we’re all here. You want the solid gold earphones handmade by a dude in Old Town, Stockholm that cost as much as a new car.
