Brooks Transcend’s the Running Shoe: Review

When the Brooks Transcend running shoe landed a few weeks ago – we didn’t know what to expect as this shoe is being marketed as something so futuristic and out of this world, that literally a space ship delivered them to us. No, seriously – check out the video below to see what we mean. In all seriousness, the Brooks Transcends are running shoes that redefine the blah running shoe.

While the Pureflow 2 offers a lightweight and contoured fit to your foot, the Transcend takes things to the next level by redesigning the sole of the shoe to alleviate hitting pressure points while running. The back of the shoe hugs your heel to increase your stride, but also provides a better posture while running. And lastly, the Transcend is super freaking comfortable! If I could sleep in theses shoe I would – that is how soft and heavenly they feel.

For a runner, it will feel as if you are running on clouds. Each step you take is bouncy and comfortable. Transcend offers a great feeling shoe and they don’t look to shabby either. Gals who love pink will really dig the bright and vibrant pink color option. And of course, Transcend can easily be seen during dusk jogs. To that effect, the pink versions are loud even by Barbie standards. And for those who aren’t runners, but prefer to walk a lot – there is no reason to be discouraged, because the Transcend running shoe is great for walking too – and power walkers will especially appreciate them.

The Transcend Running Shoe from Brooks won’t be hitting store shelves till early February, but they can be pre-ordered now, and you should pre-order them – your feet will thank you later! Just don’t be scared off by the price, which is a hefty $160. But you know what they say, your feet are one of the most important parts of your body, so you might as well treat them right and spoil them.

Buy It!

The Good: Extremely comfortable. Great bounce when walking/running. Hugs your foot. Foot ache is minimal after hours of wearing them hard. Comes in a hot pink color option for pink lovers.

The Bad: Limited colors available for women. A bit pricey.
