Cruises always sound good, but they’re about to sound a lot better this year, now that Carnival is rolling out their Carnival LIVE concert series. They’ve signed up over a dozen artists to get on board and kick mid-cruise entertainment up a notch.
Carnival LIVE will feature Jennifer Hudson, Chicago, STYX, and Lady Antebellum on board, among others, on different cruises this year. They’ll even have Kansas sometimes, if you want to have a particularly philosophical boat ride. The 15 artists have all signed on for a total of 49 performances among them in 2014. On the performance date, the ship will reach port (at Cozumel, Nassau, or Catalina Island), and the artist will hop on board, do a set, and jump ship before the liner sets sail again.
But, all the added star power won’t be putting the old house bands out of business. In fact, they’ll be back and better than ever in 2014, with more choreographed and themed performances, along with an expanded set list and increased audience participation.
The Carnival LIVE series will kick off this April. Tickets to the shows will range from $20 to $40, with VIP tickets going for anywhere from $100 to $150. You can get the tickets through Carnival’s online Shore Excursion System before you embark.
