Honeywell MyEnergySmart Infrared Heater Will Get You Through Polar Cold Nights: Review

Space heaters are far from glamorous, but they are an essential part of living, especially when forced heat isn’t doing a good enough job to keep you warm on those cold winter nights. But it can be a trying task to pick the perfect heater that is just right in both looks and safety. That is where the Honeywell MyEnergySmart Infrared Heater solves both of those problems.

As far as heaters go, the MyEnergySmart Infrared Heater is not only a stylish heater but it is also extremely safe and its small footprint with wheels allows it to be extremely portable. The MyEnergySmart Infrared Heater promises to pump the heat out without sacrificing your wallet. The heat output of 5,200 BTU’s is pretty impressive and you can customize it to your liking from the temperature, to the 3 different available heat modes for when you really need to kill that chill in the air.

Having used the MyEnergySmart Infrared Heater through the frozen chill that blanketed all of New York and much of the east coast a few weeks ago; the heater was able to warm my relatively large bedroom extremely well. Even though the heater doesn’t oscillate, it didn’t seem to matter because the room was filled with warmth even on the level 2 medium constant heat setting.

The MyEnergySmart Infrared Heater also operates pretty quietly, and like we said earlier, it is an extremely safe heater. The grille doesn’t get extremely hot and with those who have small children or pets walking around, there is no fear of them getting burned or hurt as its nearly impossible to reach the heating elements inside the machine. This is unlike so many other heaters on the market that just scream “I’m going to burn your house down”. Instead, the Honeywell MyEnergySmart Infrared Heater puts your mind at rest, but we still suggest you unplug it and don’t leave it on if you are not going to be home.

Verdict

The Honeywell MyEnergySmart Infrared Heater is an excellent heater that warms your room quickly and safely. It’s design and relatively small footprint doesn’t impose on a room, and its well made casters allow it to be moved from one room to another very easily. It’s also customizable for your own personal temperature tastes. For a price tag of $200 at Best Buy or $163 at Amazon you really can’t go wrong.

The Good: Pretty energy efficient, space saving, attractive design and well made. It is extremely safe for a space heater. Warms a 300 square foot room in about 30 minutes or less. Priced right.

The Bad: Doesn’t oscillate to spread heat around a room faster and can have trouble filling far corners. No remote control.
