If what we’re seeing at CES is any indication, it’s going to be a big year for Belkin’s WeMo line of smart home products. Because, when you get down to making a smart crock-pot, you know you’re really starting to dig deep.

The Crock-Pot WeMo Smart Slow Cooker is sure to eat away at pizza delivery revenues nationwide, giving you unprecedented power to not burn dinner. Goodness knows none of us need another one of those situations where we left the Crock-Pot on, went off to do something, then got stuck in traffic on the way back. This smart Crock-Pot will prevent exactly that situation, by allowing you to turn the thing on or off using the WeMo app (iOS or Android). You can also adjust temperature remotely, and receive reminders in case you’re prone to forget that you started to cook dinner. There’s even a timer that estimates how much time is left until dinner’s ready, depending on what it is you’re cooking.

Belkin is also announcing some new smart lighting products at CES. They’ll have new WeMo Smart LED Bulbs, which are 60-watt equivalent. Those bulbs can be dimmed, turned on or off, or put on a schedule using the WeMo app. Best of all, they last for about 23 years. Belkin will also offer a WeMo LED Lighting Starter Set, which includes two bulbs and the WeMo Link, which is how your smartphone or tablet communicates with the individual bulbs. Each Link can support up to 50 bulbs – should be more than enough for your home.

Finally, one for the DIY people in the crowd. The WeMo Maker is a small module that can be manually wired to literally anything running on a DC switch. It also works with a few 5V DC sensors. That means that with the Maker, you won’t just be turning things off and on, or setting up schedules. If you have the right sensors, you can program your sprinkler system to shut off after your lawn reaches a certain moisture level, for example. You’ll need a little expertise to use the WeMo Maker, but if you feel comfortable with electrical systems, the sky’s the limit.

There are scads of other WeMo products being shown off at CES, too – a coffee maker, a heater, a humidifier, and an air purifier, among others. Again, it’s going to be a big year for the WeMo line. As for when you can get all these new toys, look to spring of this year, when you can get the Crock-Pot WeMo Smart Slow Cooker for $100, Smart LED bulbs for $40 each, and the LED Lighting Starter Set for $130.
