Harman Kardon has unveiled a sharp new speaker system at Mobile World Congress, and if you’re a Sprint customer, you just might be able to get it at a discount.
The Onyx Studio is a sleek, black, dome-shaped speaker that packs quite a punch – four drivers and two passive radiator cones, which combine to produce four-channel sound. It’s a Bluetooth speaker, although it’s more meant for classy, indoor use than for going out and about – the price will probably tell you that much.
But, that price – $400 – might be a little lower if you’re a Sprint customer. That’s because Harman Kardon has made deals with Sprint, SoftBank (Japan), and Trikomsel (Indonesia), along with Brightstar, to act as sales outlets for Onyx Studio. That means the speaker will show up in Sprint stores, and could later be part of promotional deals that Sprint holds throughout the year.
