It’s like we’re in the middle of a coloring book renaissance. First there was all of your girl crushes in one crayon-ready tome, and now we have some of the best chefs in the land stuffed into one called Small Thyme Cooks.
André Hueston Mack, a sommelier and winemaker out of Brooklyn, is the head chef cooking up this book, which is aimed at getting kids interested in the culinary arts – if for no other reason than making sure they don’t live their adult lives on mac and cheese and Lean Cuisine. The book has 60 famous chefs from across the land, along with classic activity book fare like mazes and word searches. The book features celebrity chefs: Tom Colicchio, Eric Ripert, Dan Barber, Sean Brock, David Kinch, Anthony Bourdain, and Roy Choi – just to name a few.
Sounds like a good time for anyone, to be honest.
You can find Small Thyme Cooks on Amazon for about $11. Part of each sale goes to the Charlie Trotter Culinary Education Foundation, which gives scholarships and support to kids interested in becoming the next Iron Chef.
