For the fifth year running, PC Mag will take it upon themselves to ignore the advertisements and answer the question for good – who actually does have the fastest data network in the nation? You know the contestants by now – AT&T, Verizon, T-Mobile, and Sprint – and you’ve certainly heard their claims to greatness. Who will come out on top? This year, you’re going to help decide that.
PC Mag, as always, will have drivers cruising through major U.S. cities with smartphones connected to the big four – each car this year will have eight smartphones (mostly the LG G2), with four testing the LTE networks and four testing the 3G networks. But, that’s just what PC Mag will be doing. As for you, if you have an Android or iOS device, grab the free speed test app from Sensorly. Data from the app will be sent to PC Mag, to help determine who really does have the snappiest network.
So, who ya got? Don’t count out Sprint – their brand new tri-band Spark network is up for testing this year, and Sprint has been making bold claims about how speedy their new network is. With your help, PC Mag will let us know the results sometime in mid-June.
