They’ve flown largely under the radar, but there’s been a host of kids series that have made their debuts as Netflix or Amazon originals. The newest from Amazon is called Creative Galaxy, and it’s an out-of-this-world artistic experience for the little ones.
Creative Galaxy’s pilot came out on Amazon last April, but it’s only now that the first season is launching. The series follows Arty, a little green alien with a love for all things artistic. The series will introduce kids to all kinds of art, like painting, drawing, sketching, and sculpture. We don’t see an episode description about the dead-eyed nihilism of post-modernist art, so maybe they’re saving that for season two. And there is even something in it for parents too – Jason Priestley, AKA Brandon Walsh from the original 90210, is the voice behind the lovable character named Sketch.
Amazon Prime members can watch the pilot and the upcoming season for free. The pilot is still accessible, and the first season will blast off on June 27.
