Misfit’s Shine is a fitness tracker that can record and analyze sleep data as long as you wear it at night. But, maybe you don’t want to do that. If you want to sleep unencumbered, Misfit has now partnered up with Beddit to incorporate their more comprehensive sleep tracker into the Misfit app—no wearable tech necessary.
The Beddit Sleep Monitor is a thin sheet that rests on top of your mattress. It’s thin enough to where you shouldn’t feel it when you go to bed at night, but you’ll definitely be able to reap some benefits, beyond what the Shine can offer. Your sleep cycles and sleep quality will be measured and analyzed according to data the sensors collect, like heart rate, respiration, movement, snoring, and sound. There’s even a smart alarm that will gently nudge you awake at the optimal time, if you have the luxury of waking up at the optimal time. All that tops the Shine, which only measures time spent sleeping and your sleep cycles.
The Beddit Sleep Monitor can now be purchased directly from Misfit for $150.
