Not too often do we see Apple products get good discounts, but when they happen, they get our attention. Late last week, AT&T launched a new limited time promotion that cuts $100 off the price of a new 16 GB iPad mini 2 when you buy an iPhone on an AT&T Next plan.
There are caveats, but nothing too onerous or unexpected. You’ll have to buy a new iPhone on one of their AT&T Next installment payment programs, which includes a $22 per month plan for the iPhone 6 (on top of your monthly service fees). The iPad mini 2 will come with strings attached, too — you’ll need to either buy it with a two-year contract including a data plan or add it to a Mobile Share Value plan, which will cost $10 more per month. AT&T’s monthly data plans start at $15 per month for 250 MB, going up to $30 per month for 3 GB and $50 per month for 5 GB.
It’s a limited time deal contingent on how long supplies of iPad 2 mini tablets earmarked for the deal last. That might vary by location, so if you haven’t already and really, really want a couple of new Apple devices in your life, go hit up AT&T and see if you can still get in on the deal.
