In March, Mophie launched their first ever wireless charging cases for the Samsung Galaxy S7 and S7 Edge. This week, they’re finally following up with iPhone 6S and 6S Plus versions, along with two wireless charging mounts for the desk and car.
Like the Galaxy cases, the iPhone cases will work with most wireless charging standards, including Qi and PMA. The capacities are quite a bit smaller, though — 1,560 mAh and 2,420 mAh for the 6S and 6S Plus, respectively, which should amount to a 60 percent charge for both. A little low, but if it gets you to bedtime, that’s still a job well done.
Mophie is releasing the new cases alongside the Charge Force Vent Mount and Desk Mount. The Vent Mount can be clamped onto of the front air vents of a car, while the Desk Mount looks more like a regular smartphone stand. Both have magnets that automatically align with Mophie’s wireless charging cases, so you’re free to just toss your phone on (not too carelessly, though). Both mounts can be adjusted for viewing angle and can be rotated from portrait to landscape orientation. Both use Qi wireless charging to juice up both the Mophie wireless charging case and, in turn, your phone.
Despite the Samsung S7 and S7 Edge cases both launching at $100, the iPhone 6S Plus Juice Pack Wireless case costs a bit more at $120 (the 6S case is also $100). Both cases also come with their own charging bases. The Charge Force Vent Mount and Desk Mount are $60 each.
