Ever play a video game and think of all the ways you could make it better, or just completely different? Well now you can. Bloxels, in a partnership with Mattel, has launched a new hands-on technology that enables kids (but you know adults will want in on to) to build, design, play and share their very own video games.
With the Bloxels Gameboard you can build the layout of your game, build your characters, use the app to capture a picture of the Gameboard, and to customize it. Then finally you can play your game and challenge your friends to beat it by sharing it on the Infinity Wall.
A hit at the New York Toy Fair Forbes contributor Andy Robertson wrote of Bloxels, it is “easier than Mario Maker, quicker than Roblox and prettier than Little Big Planet.”
A newer version of the Bloxels Box Set will be available at major retailers nationwide starting October 1st. New features include design challenges specific to the Gameboard for a true integration of physical and digital play. It will retail for $49.99.
