How to Get the Dispatcher as an Audiobook for Free

Where else would you turn for audiobooks than the master of the e-book? Today, we’re partnering up with Audible, an Amazon company, to let you know about one of the largest storehouses of digital audiobooks in the world. Audible has thousands of audiobooks for sale across all genres, and it’s looking like this holiday season will be the best time yet to check it out for yourself. With a terrific membership program, an unrivaled selection, and some great reads coming our way soon, they’re ready to make holiday shopping season a little more enjoyable for all of us!

Audiobooks are lifesavers. I love to read, but having to travel to meetings, go out for runs, and sometimes work at odd hours means I don’t get the chance to sit down with a book as often as I’d like. Sad, but on the other hand, I do have a pair of headphones on an awful lot. Audiobooks help to finally start getting through that backlog of reads (we all have one) by getting those reads into your ears instead of your eyes. That’s a pretty great draw, whether you just want to be in another world or gain a little insight into our own.

World class narration also helps. Case in point — The Dispatcher. The Dispatcher is the latest novel from John Scalzi, the award-winning science fiction author behind the Old Man’s War series. His latest is a tale about the far-off future of dispatchers, who have gotten even better at responding to emergencies — they can now bring murder victims back from the dead! Sounds interesting, but then you consider that new Spock himself, Zachary Quinto, is providing the narration, and it pretty much becomes a mandatory listen.

So, how do you go about giving it a listen? Well, until November 2, it doesn’t even involve money. Audible offers a free 30-day trial of their membership program, which gives you one free audiobook per month, plus 30 percent off every other audiobook you purchase. The Dispatcher can be claimed for free until November 2, so if you’re interested in a collaboration between a brilliant actor and a visionary author (who isn’t?), you might want to pick up that trial soon. And, if you fall in love with having good reads follow you where books can’t, membership is just $14.95 per month after the 30-day trial period expires.

This is a sponsored conversation written by me on behalf of Audible. The opinions and text are all mine.
