Last year, Fossil started adding hybrid smartwatches to their Q line of wearables. Being analog watches with simple, user-friendly smart features, we found them to be much more fashionable and non-intrusive than full-on smartwatches. As much as we liked them, we still found the hybrid smartwatches a bit thicker than we expected — that’s changing in 2017, with Fossil announcing thinner hybrid watches at CES 2017.
This spring, Fossil will add the Q Accomplice, Q Modern Pursuit, and Q Grant. They’ll still work the same way — three physical buttons on the side for using features like fitness tracking, alarms, and controlling music, plus an app to set contacts to numbers on the watch face. The Q Accomplice is the thinnest and most feminine of the line, while the Modern Pursuit has a sportier look and the Q Grant has red-tipped watch hands for better visibility. The latter two designs have been used on other Fossil watches, while the Accomplice looks like a new design.
All three new Q hybrid smartwatches will be available in the spring for between $175 and $215. They’ll work with iOS and Android devices.
