Funko’s latest figurine is one that every child of the 80’s and 90’s will especially appreciate – it’s a Tony the Tiger Pop! But it turns out that Tony the Tiger has represented Kellogg’s Frosted Flakes’ way back than we even realized – since the early 50’s to be exact. This Pop is the latest addition to the Ad Icons Pop! family series of Pops.
It all started way back in 1952, when Tony the Tiger won a contest against other potential mascots, and has represented Frosted Flakes ever since. The Tony the Tiger Pop! is a Funko-Shop.com exclusive and is a limited edition of 3,000 pieces. He retails for $14.99 and of course, he’s GRRREAT! Tony joins other nostalgic icons like Count Chocula, Franken Berry, Yummy Mummy and Fruit Brute.
Funko is also giving away the proto(type) for Tony the Tiger Pop! to one of their FunKlub members. The winner will be announced next week.
