This Guardians of the Galaxy Disco Music Video Featuring the Hoff is Brilliant

The music video will be a bonus on the Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 2 Blu-ray, but like, it’s also on YouTube.

If there’s going to be something weird and musical in the Marvel Cinematic Universe, you know it’s going to have to involve the Guardians. From the mind of director James Gunn and the camera skills of David Yarovesky comes this treasure — a disco music video featuring the cast and sung by the ’80s personified, David Hasselhoff.

We could draw cosmic parallels to Saturday Night Fever, but just suffice it to say that if disco is your bag, watch the video. If you felt personally inspired by either experiencing Disco Demolition Night or reading about it on Wikipedia, maybe don’t. If you’re in, the video features Chris Pratt, Dave Bautista, Karen Gillan, Sean Gunn, Pom Klementieff, Michael Rooker, and Zoe Saldana. And, as is custom, Marvel legend Stan Lee sneaks a cameo in there. Much more conspicuous is the Hoff, in his natural habitat.

So anyway, the video’s right up there. You can probably tell from the still frame whether or not it’s going to be too much for you. It’s going to be too much for a lot of us. But, if you can’t get too much of a disco thing, the video will also be on the Guardians of the Galaxy, Vol. 2 Blu-ray release on August 22.
