Looks like there was a little Chemical X left in the tank, because Blossom, Bubbles, and Buttercup are about to get a new friend — well, maybe. She’s being called the fourth Powerpuff Girl, but the new character to be introduced when The Powerpuff Girls returns this month is still shrouded in mystery!
The five-part movie The Powerpuff Girls: The Power of Four will be the continuation of the Powerpuff Girls revival that started last year. That Bubbles, Blossom, and Buttercup will need to face some threat to Townsville is taken as given, but what we don’t know is what number four’s role will be. Then again, with the title being The Power of Four, something tells me she gets along with the original three in the end.
Cartoon Network has been doing a little teasing, though. South African singer Toya Delazy, who’s done her own official rendition of the theme song, is on as the voice of the new character. They’ve also got a promo tweet up with colored emoji hearts that suggest the new girl’s go-to color will be purple.

Now, if you really want to get into spoiler territory, the name might have already been leaked — we’ll give you a chance to turn back now if you want to be surprised.

The fan-run Powerpuff Girls wiki page has her name as Bliss, along with what we figure is a leaked still from the movie. Bliss has dark skin, bangin’ bright green hair, and, as suggested by Cartoon Network, a purple dress. Far from official, but she sure seems plausible. I’m not sure how I feel about the name Bliss, but I’ve been racking my brain for good Powerpuff ‘b’ words the whole day and have come up empty, so I don’t have much room to criticize.
