There’s so much to love about the ’90s — especially the pop music us ’90s kids grew up listening to! The late ’90s to the early 2000s were hands down the best years for pop music EVER. Britney Spears, The Spice Girls, Hanson; I don’t know about you, but I owned every mixtape and CD of theirs I could get my hands on. The only thing possibly better than pop music from this time would be Disney characters as ’90s pop stars!
We’ve rediscovered an awesome series from artist Isaiah Stephens originally done for Cosmopolitan. He’s crossed over Disney guys and girls with some of the biggest pop stars of the ’90s (spoiler: there’s a lot of Britney in here). The results? TRL-worthy.
Jasmine as Britney
At the 2001 MTV Video Music Awards, Britney Spears performed “I’m a Slave 4 U” with a really cool jungle theme. Jasmine takes the place of Britney and works that enormous snake — and the stage — like a pro! Who could forget that snake?!
Mulan, Ariel, Kida, Aurora, and Megara as the Spice Girls
I’ll tell you what I want, what I really, really want: Ariel, Aurora, Megara, Kida, and Mulan as The SPICE GIRLS! I couldn’t have picked better princesses myself for this powerhouse British girl group.
