There’s a ton of tech news to get to! Maybe you didn’t get to it all, because who’s got time for that? Well, that’d be us — here are a handful of stories from the week that was that might affect you!
The Nintendo Switch Gets Hulu
Nintendo badly needed a hit after its previous home console, the Wii U, flopped. Well, they got one — the Nintendo Switch is on track to eclipse 14 million in sales in its first year, which would exceed the total number of Wii U units sold, ever. The Switch has some terrific games and being able to play it on the big screen or on the go is awesome, but there was one little thing missing — streaming video!
With the Xbox One and PlayStation 4 existing more as home entertainment consoles than strictly video game console, it couldn’t hurt Nintendo to get in on the action. They’ve managed to do so with a partnership with Hulu. As of this week, Switch owners can download the Hulu app, which can be used to watch Hulu’s streaming TV and on-demand services if you’re a subscriber.
