Ready for a story involving the SPCA, a security robot, and the unhoused population of San Francisco? Yep, in 2017 there’s somehow a dot in the center of that Venn diagram, and it also involves the robot getting canned in the end.
Shameful that an org that finds homes for homeless animals is treating homeless people like less-than humans. https://t.co/FvxxnzRWDQ

The SPCA — the Society for the Prevention of Cruelty to Animals — are usually the heroes in the story they’re featured in, helping find cute puppies and kitties new homes and getting sweet Instagrams out of it. But lately, the San Francisco chapter has been feeling some heat for their dalliance with a security robot, leaving more than a few people thinking the organization should show as much compassion to their fellow humans as they do those dogs and cats in need.
