The Week in Geek – Sounds Like Anne Rice’s Vampire Chronicles Really Are Coming to TV

The Vampire Chronicles TV show gets Bryan Fuller to help with the pilot

When Anne Rice revealed that the planned movie revival of The Vampire Chronicles (the one with Jared Leto as Lestat) fell through and that she was planning a TV series instead, we were a little skeptical. But, sounds like this plan has some bite to it! Paramount TV is now involved in producing the series along with author Anne Rice and her son, Christopher, and in an interview with The Hollywood Reporter, Paramount TV head Amy Powell revealed that Bryan Fuller is assisting with the pilot. Fuller has had rough couple of times out, though, departing Star Trek Discovery before it took off and leaving American Gods after one season. For the sake of returning vampires to their former glory, here’s hoping he sticks around this time.
