Got a shelf (or room) dedicated to Funko figurines? Then we’re guessing you get as excited as we do for new Funko releases — and they come fast and furious these days. Funko basically has an iron grip on our wallets with their Pops and plushies, and they’re not letting go anytime soon. Here’s the good stuff that got us the most excited from the past month!
Funko announced a ton of new figurines at London Toy Fair this past month, and if they’re going to announce a ton of stuff all at once, you know there’s going to be some Marvel goodies in there. This time, they’ve got 5″ Rock Candy figurines of Valkyrie and Hela from Thor Ragnarok coming in May, with a Wobbler of Gladiator Hulk coming in April. Only one new Pop figurine, though — it’s Gwenom, the fusion of Spider-Gwen (alternate reality Gwen Stacy with spider powers) with that reality’s Venom. She’ll arrive in April, too, and she probably won’t be alone — Funko teased a bunch of new figurines for Infinity War that they can’t talk about yet.
New Overwatch Pops! This wave will include Junkrat, Mercy, Zarya, Sombra, and Zenyatta. It also includes Roadhog, who is understandably just a bit bigger than all the other Pops! The new wave joins the already released Winston, Widowmaker, Reaper, Tracer, Mei, Reinhardt, McCree, Lucia, Symmetra, and the best one — D.Va’s mech, which comes with an adorable tony D.Va figurine that fits in the pilot seat! That leaves most of the newcomers, the terror twins, the mother and daughter duo, the turret aficionados, and dad for the next waves.
Sailor Moon is well worn ground for Funko, but that never stopped them before! This year they’re making tiny Mystery Minis for the 10 soldiers, plus Artemis and Luna (no Tuxedo Mask, though). The mystery boxes will be at Hot Topic and GameStop, and as always, each store will have exclusives! Super Sailor Moon, Diana, and posed Sailor Chibi Moon will only be found at Hot Topic, while GameStop has posed Sailor Venus, Mistress 9, and Sailor Pluto as exclusives.
Funko actually has a ton of Rick and Morty stuff coming this year, including Mystery Minis and Plushies. We’re all about the Dorbz, though — come May, they’ll have Rick, Morty, Beth, and Mr. Meeseeks (with a chase variant of a Mr. Meeseeks who’s been alive for a little too long). Lawnmower Dog himself Snowball (not Snuffles) is also making an appearance, with a flocked version coming to GameStop. The Hot Topic exclusive will be Tinkles, the very not real magical flying unicorn.
