Shari Austrian is on a mission to find her Lego bricks some good homes. She runs the LittleBrickLane shop on Etsy, a relatively new addition that sells only one thing — accurate, lovingly crafted miniature models of homes out of Lego bricks.
The Lego fan is offering custom-built Lego homes on her shop now, and she’s very serious about getting the details right! Potential customers are encouraged to send over the blueprints to their home to ensure that she can scale down the house to perfection, but she’ll also work off of photos of the house. From there, she’ll get to planning, order the bricks she needs from Lego, and start building the house on a 48 x 48 stud base plate.
Want to turn your Lego house into a full-on playset? For a higher rate, Austrian will do the inside of your house, too! From the photos of the sample house, you can see super cute kitchens, bathrooms, and living rooms — kinda makes us wish Lego bricks were used more often in interior design!
But, a 15″ x 15″ detail-laden model that can end up weighing between 25 and 35 pounds doesn’t come cheap. Austrian charges by the square foot, with exterior-only models costing $0.75 per square foot and exterior and interior models costing $1.25 per square foot — that’ll reach up into the thousands!
