It’s no secret that, compared to Marvel’s, the DC movies haven’t been doing so hot. They’ve still made loads of money, with Wonder Woman setting a few records, but the whole cinematic universe deal hasn’t quite taken shape — and it might not ever. But, if nothing else, they’ll still at least be making one-off superhero movies, and that’s great news, because there are a lot more characters that deserve some big screen love besides the Justice League. Artist Sébastien Minatchy has drawn a few, along with some more familiar faces — check them out here, and if you want to see more of his work, find him on DeviantArt and Instagram!
But as is tradition here, we will always kick off a DC feature with Wonder Woman.
Hawkgirl was hard done by getting left out of Justice League. She’s been around since the beginning!
Well, we know this guy’s headed to the big screen in the coming years. Black Adam will be played by Dwayne Johnson, and if the Rock isn’t the superhero who can save the DC Extended Universe, I don’t know who is.
Suicide Squad Harley!
Well, Whedon is no longer doing the Batgirl movie. Hopefully someone steps up to make it happen.
Pretty sure DC and Warner Bros is going to have to keep up the cinematic universe to some extent, because otherwise I don’t know how they give Darkseid his due.
Someday there will be a good Catwoman solo movie.
If nothing else, at least we’ve got a great Black Canary on TV!
The League, pre-Superman return. Gotta love the sweet bat pose!
You know Lyssa Drak is a great villain because she’s the minder of things called Fear Lodges.
Soranik Natu in greener times, before the whole Sinestro heel turn. Kinda had good reason to be upset, though.
Really great line work on this drawing of Mera!
Poison Ivy, one of the many great members of the Rogues Gallery that needs another go at the big screen.
Well, two years ago there was talk of bringing Power Girl to Flash on the CW. Here’s hoping!
At least Supergirl has a pretty nice thing going over in the Arrowverse.
Carol Ferris as Star Sapphire, who will hopefully make an appearance if they ever dare to do another Green Lantern movie.
The Kryptonians, featuring a super rare appearance by the Sword of Superman! He probably threw back into space right after this.
Looks like Anna Curry as Aquawoman in the good old gender-swapped universe.
