5 Fitness Apps That We’ve Deemed Worthy Of Downloading!

Working out is hard. Trust me, I get it. I’m in the midst of training for a half marathon and it is no joke. I’ll be honest with you, part of me is only doing it because my boyfriend ran a full marathon and I feel like I need to appear to be somewhat worthy of dating a person who can run 26 miles but, more about that another time.

Back to working out. Everything about it is hard, making time to go to the gym, once you finally get there you have to figure out what to do, then once you’ve actually discovered how to actually work out – you’re sore for days. Unless you have a personal trainer, the gym can be a intimidating and complicated place.

Lucky for you, we’ve narrowed down eight of the best workout apps that you can use anywhere and anytime. How? Because they’re all on your phone!

NIKE Training Club

Personally, I’m a HUGE fan of this app. NIKE Training Club app allows you to pick the work out you want, and select a plan that’s tailored to your goals.

You have the option to pick between workouts that require equipment, and workouts that don’t. It’s so great and the best part is it’s free! Yay!

Jefit

If you’re hoping to tone up but you’re too afraid to venture into the Equinox weight room, then Jefit is for you. You can look up any weight machine that exists and it explains to you how to use it.

It also can help you figure out ways to use free weights too! Perhaps, the most helpful part though is the preset workouts that it has for each muscle group. Also, it’s free so you have no excuse not to download it get in your best shape.

Sworkit

Sworkit was born on Shark Tank when Mark Cuban decided to invest $1.5 million into the company. In the beginning, the app was free. Now they charge $79.99 a year. I know it seems unfair to pay, but it’s less than belonging to a gym and SO much less than a personal trainer.

With Sworkit, you get access to a trainer who can answer all your fitness questions. The best part is, it allows you to use your bodyweight for workouts so you don’t even need equipment!

MoveWith

This app is basically like having your own personal fitness class right on your phone! Trainers from the best boutique studios in the country are coaches on the app. The workouts range from HIIT to yoga and everything in between.

You can pick the body parts you want to focus on, and how much time you have to work out. Depending on what workout you choose, you may need to buy some gym equipment. The app costs $95.99 per year.

DailyBurn

DailyBurn is great for those who want to workout but can’t really seem to commit to it. So, instead of starting a regular daily workout, the app makes you start programs that last for eight weeks.

The programs also set you up with nutrition guidelines and meal plans to help. This app will only cost you $19.95 a month.
