It Pays To Be Resilient & Here Is How Every Woman Can Learn This Important Skill For Herself

To be resilient is to be able to bounce right back from any difficult situation. It’s certainly not easy to be and do this, but it makes all the difference in the long run. Everything I have been able to do and achieve as a female entrepreneur I directly credit to my resilient nature, or what I like to call bouncebackability.

It absolutely pays to be resilient in business and in your personal life, and here is how every woman can learn this important skill. That’s right, you can totally learn it. You don’t have to be born with it (newsflash: I wasn’t)!

Trust Yourself

If you can’t trust and believe in yourself, you have nothing. You need to be able to trust yourself above all else. Know that you can do it!

One way to maintain trust and belief in yourself is to celebrate every tiny victory. You can get a heck of a lot of strength from that, and it gives you building blocks for that unwavering faith in what you can do when you set your mind to something.

Tame Your Emotions

This has always been a big one for me and something I still struggle to entirely master: taming my emotions. If you don’t manage your emotions, they go on to absolutely manage you and what you do, and that’s never a good position to be in.

It is important to always dig deep to find that last shred of positivity so you don’t get overwhelmed by any setbacks you encounter, or negative emotions.

Be Tougher Than Nails

Remember that saying, “what doesn’t kill you only makes you stronger?” You need to eat, sleep, breathe that, and go on to be tougher than nails.

Face down your fears. Face up to tough situations and challenges. Always push yourself to be tougher than anything you are going through.

Keep Picking Yourself Up No Matter What

Life is going to kick you down and kick you around, but you need to keep picking yourself up no matter what.

If you get kicked down and you stay down, you can’t get to a place where you succeed. Don’t quit on yourself. Find a way to get up and keep pushing forward.

Expect The Unexpected

Things in life rarely go how we imagine, and things rarely go the way we plan. Always expect the unexpected. Expect things to not work out the way you think they will.

Not only does this keep your expectations in line with reality, it minimizes your chances of being paralyzed and unable to act when things don’t go well or smoothly. Always have a plan B, C, D….you get the picture.

Change How You Think, Then Change How You Do Things

Resilience requires not making the same mistake over and over and over again. You have to be able to take a good, hard, honest look at yourself and what you did to get into a given situation in the first place.

Look and learn. Understand why you failed, then go on to do things in a different way.

Stay Adaptable & Flexible

A big part of being resilient is staying adaptable and flexible. The faster you can do these two things, the faster you can get to bouncing back from failures or situations that don’t go quite right for you.
