InvisibleSHIELD for the iPhone Review

The problem with iPhone cases is that they cover up the beautiful design of the iPhone. But if you don't put a case on your iphone and you end up damaging it, you'll never forgive yourself either. Think of the InvisibleSHIELD as a happy medium. Kind of like the emperor's clothing, the InvisibleSHIELD is designed to protect your iPhone without covering up its lovely curves. Initially, I was a little skeptical about using the InvisibleSHIELD on the face of the iPhone because I was worried that it would interfere with the sensitivity of the iPhone. Fortunately, it hasn't interfered at all with the iPhone's usability. The package included a piece that covers the face of the iPhone, and the back of the iPhone. However the piece for the back of the iPhone doesn't wrap around far enough to cover the metal edges on the iPhone's face. I find that a little disappointing since, since I think that the metal edges are the most delicate area on the iPhone and mine have already been getting a little scuffed up from use. The InvisibleSHIELD also claims to be scratch proof. Admittedly, I am to chicken to test that theory out on my precious, however I've been carrying it around for a couple of days and it has kept my iPhone safe and sound so far. Applying the invisibleSHIELD was simple enough, though it did take concentration in order to take some effort to make sure that no air bubbles got in. A spray on solution is included with shield that makes the invisibleSHIELD movable on the iPhone's surface, so that you can align it as perfectly as possible without much hassle. I succeeded in aligning the front and back piece of the invisibleSHIELD pretty well, minus a bubble that I couldn't manage to get rid of on the back side.

MacTrain-ulator Z-Scale Model Railroad Stationed Inside a Mac Plus

Inspired by a trip to Germany's Wartburg Castle, Eric Foxman took his love of Macs and went ahead and built a Z-scale model railroad inside of an old Mac Plus. The model is complete with a moving train as well as several tour guides and groups. Why a Mac? "I chose to use a Mac Plus [since] it could only be done in a Mac. Windows graphics are not up to the job of making anything that looks real enough to simulate a virtual model railroad." (Source: Macworld Magazine, July 2007)

I have a red SeeThru Hard Case from SpeckTec and I am constantly getting compliments because of it. That is mostly because people don't seem to realize that it's just a cover, they're like "Oh My God, is that a red Macbook!" Anyway, Techshells are available in blue, pink, green or purple, and last but not least - there is a pink Bling Bling Techshell covered in crystals. ...

iTrip Pocket FM Transmitter for the iPod Nano Review

It's not often that we get excited about an FM transmitter. As a matter of fact, the iTrip Pocket is the first FM transmitter we have ever gotten excited about. In general, FM transmitters just aren't the most exciting devices. They are just useful devices which serve the purpose of getting music off of your digital audio player and on to any system with an FM radio. I've owned a few FM transmitters in the past and well, they've all sucked. As a matter of fact I'd kind of given up on them until now. However, I'd never tried any of Griffins iTrips though I had heard good things about them. When I spotted the new iTrip Pocket and noticed how small it was and how it looked to be a perfect compliment to the iPod Nano, I just had to try it. It turns out that it's quality and build are so similar to the Nano itself that one could be fooled in to thinking that it was an accessory that Apple produced themselves. Also, it unquestionably must be be one of the smallest FM transmitters available.
