There are skins for everything from your Laptop to your ipod to your XBox, so we guess it was just a matter of time before someone started producing skins for the Apple TV as well. iStyles has a selection of colorful skins to decorate your Apple TV with. From Mona Lisa, to green neon flames, to abstract paintings, overall there is a nice selection of skins that would certainly liven up your Apple TV's exterior. A matching skin is included for your Apple Remote as well and each package retails for $14.99. iStyles also has an interesting policy. They say that if the skin ever smudges, wears, fades or blurs, they will ...
The TEAC MC-DX220i Slim CD System is a pretty decent looking CD system with a vertical CD load system, a decent set of speakers with an output of over 20 watts all in a compact and slim size. Overall, though the system looks pretty ordinary, kind of like something you would see on a shelf in the electronics section over at K-Mart. But what caught our attention about the TEAC MC-DX220i is the fact that it also has a built-in iPod docking station for charging your ipod and playing music off of it. And it comes with a remote control that can access basic ipod functions. That and the FM tuner make ...
Do you talk faster then you type? Well you're probaly like most ordinary humans then. The iListen Transcription Solution for iPod with Video contains Mac Direct Dictation, Correction, Voice Command & Control and Transcription software as well as the XtremeMac MicroMemo for iPod with Video and a VXi TalkPro Xpress Headset/Microphone, so that all your voice recording and dictation needs are covered when it comes to working on your Mac. We're kind of skeptical about voice dictation, and this product seems to have mixed reviews. Regardless though, if you're looking for a complete voice dictation package for your Mac, for a somewhat steep $299, this will do it.
Brenthavens iPod Flip Case looks simple enough, but it's smarter then an ordinary leather case. Flip it over and its slot can be used as a stand for your ipod when you're watching videos. The case is available for the 30GB and 60GB/80GB 5G ipods in either black or brown Napa leather and it retails for $24.95.
The wall mountable iSymphony V1Blue is a relatively slim little system that manages to pack in a lot of punch feature-wise. It comes with a standard CD player, AM/FM radio, a clock radio, a wireless ipod dock, it can accept USB connections and it even has an SD, MMC and Memory Stick card slots for playing MP3 or WMA files. However, its most exciting feature though in our humble opinion is its bluetooth connectivity which allows you to stream music via A2DP, and you can even use it to connect to your phone to make conference calls via its built-in speakerphone. The V1Blue will alternate between Mobile phone and music with an incoming ...
Aside from being a trusty little music player, it turns out that your ipod has a lot of productivity potential waiting to be tapped. The iGadget application essentially turns your ipod in to an "iGadget" that lets you load driving directions, your outlook email appointments, contacts, tasks and notes, weather forecasts, movie showtimes, RSS News feeds, Daily Horoscopes, as well as text libraries and music listings all on your iPod. It also comes with software that allows you to back up folders from your pc on to your ipod. Overall, with iGadget it looks like you can almost throw out your PDA - that is if you haven't already, because PDAs are ...
The week wouldn't be complete with out a cool new ipod dock. Our latest fab ipod dock is the Audio Pro Porto that is available in either black or bright red. We dig that the Porto's vertical rectangular design is a deviation of design style from the run of the mill ordinary ipod docks. It's also designed to be portable, so it comes with a handle long-life chargeable battery. And aside from promising great sound quality for a little guy, the Porto also has an FM tuner. The Pro Porto ipod dock should be available soon but no word on pricing just yet.
Pylones, a store chock full of unique and cheerful home and office accessories, has selection of really funky 1G ipod nano, ipod shuffle and 5G ipod cases that are covered in all sort of designs and patterns ranging from butterflies, to dollar bills, to the Mona Lisa. The cases each come with a belt clip and they protect the scroll wheel as well. They each retail for $20.00. Pylones also has a selection of colorful matching mouse and mousepad sets with fishes, hearts or flowers, which each retail for $35.00. Overall, all of these computer accessories are a refreshing deviation from the normal computer accessories we're used to seeing.
Make training easier by slipping your iPod Nano into the Belkin Sport Armband ($25). The hand-washable and water-resistant accessory will help you keep the beat - and keep the faith that breast cancer can be eradicated. For each one purchased, $3 goes to the Susan G. Komen for the Cure.
Leather, canvas, glitter, yarn... heck, we've even see furry ipod cases, but this the iPod rebel is somehow the first denim ipod case we've come across. Designed to fit the ipod with video, the case is made of washed denim, it has a built in screen protector, a belt loop, and an earbud pouch. The ipod Rebel case retails for $25.99 and is available in a choice of light, medium or dark denim. And look at it this way, even if you can't fit in to your jeans anymore - at least your ipod can.
Debris Design has a large selection of iPod cases for ipods of all different sizes, as well as some cases for the Razr and DS Lite. The cases are handmade from found fabrics and freeform embroidery. As a result the cases are not cheap, and range in price from $35.00 to $38.00. However, their modern selection of different designs and patterns are unlike anything we've seen anywhere else except on iPod Skins. They have everything from a Star Wars iPod Nano Case to a urban camo case for ipods and the DS Lite.
iLive's BR2807DPPNK iPod Docking System/Boombox is unusually affordable for just $38.22. The pink and silver oval shaped boombox sports a Blue backlit LCD display with a digital clock and an AM/FM radio, an Audio/Video output jack, and it can be powered by either an AC cord or 8 C batteries. Overall, the combination of its funky good looks and truly affordable price, makes the iLive a really good iPod speaker system to consider if you're on the market for something portable and pink to use with your iPod.
You love your iPod so much that you would sleep with it if you weren't worried about damaging it - yeh, you know who you are. Well instead of sleeping with your actual ipod, how about resting or wrapping your arms around an iPlushie pillow that is essentially an ipod with a smiley face. The admittedly quite cute iPlushie is made of fleece an stuffed with polyester and it retails for $10.
We got our hands on Best Buy’s Apple iPod Nano and Chocolate Gift Set and we are liking it a lot. When you open the box, the first thing staring at you is the Nano and a blank greeting card. The package comes sealed with plastic but you can easily open it up. The Nano itself is sealed in Apple's regular packaging and the box cover slips right off, so that means you can fill out the card for your gift recipient and close the box up again so that its ready to present as a gift. Stashed underneath the Nano and the card are chocolate melt-aways. We counted 19 filling the box, each wrapped in a shiny cellophane wrapper. Along with the chocolates a 10% off coupon was included for future purchases on MP3 headphones, speaker docks and accessories, and if you're buying a Nano you're going to want to buy at least one accessory down the road. (Treat your Nano right, get a case!)
Chocolates and an iPod Nano for Mom? It's going to be the best Mother's day ever for some Mom's out there. The Apple iPod Nano and Chocolate Gift Set is available exclusively at Best Buy for $214.99 with either a pink or silver 4GB Nano, making this Gift Set thoughtful as well as a good value.
And while we are convinced that this gift set really does make a great gift for Mother's Day, it doesn't have to be exclusive for mother's day, it would make a great gift all year around whether it's for a birthday, anniversary, or any other occasion. The hip packaging, combined with sweet chocolates and a gadget that everyone will love should help solve many of your gift giving dilemmas. After all, what warm blooded woman - or man for that matter, wouldn't want chocolates and a Nano for a gift!
FM Transmitters suck. Really, have you ever tried using one of them in your car so that you can listen to music on your ipod via your car's Speakers? In our experience, the process of setting it up and finding an available channel to play your music on is frustrating, and the music tends to drop in and out and be accompanied by static. Peripheral Electronic's iSimple iPod Interface is a much better alternative to an FM Transmitter. Albeit not nearly as simple as setting up an FM transmitter, hardwiring the iSimple interface for use with your ipod is ultimately the best way to get the best quality playback possible.
Once it is installed, ...
With beach season right around the corner lots of folks out there can't wait to hit the sand with their ipods can soak in the rays. Now instead of carrying around the larger ipod portable speaker systems - Brookstone has just come out with the DOC MP3 Speaker Dock. The DOC supports 2nd generation Nano's and supposedly has great sound. It's also light weight and extremely portable. Not only is it nice to listen to but it's also easy on the eyes - available in several colors Metallic Pink, Metallic Green, and Black to match your iPod's perfectly. So Summer-time here we come. The DOC MP3 Speaker Dock retails for $39.00.
Mother's Day is just a week away, and if you haven't gotten your mom a gift yet, here is one that she is sure to love. Best Buy's Apple iPod Nano and Chocolate Gift Set includes a pink or silver iPod Nano, a long with a variety of pink-foiled milk chocolate melt aways, all packaged in a stylish mod polka-dot-patterned box. The price for this package is $214.99. Given that the retail price for an iPod Nano is $199, this is a great value considering the chocolates that are thrown in and the pretty packaging. Which makes us think that this gift doesn't have to be necessarily just for Moms. The Exclusive ...
We spotted i-Dream's slew of iPod speaker system designs back at CES 2007. In general the line-up sports some pretty standard features for an ipod dock / clock, but they are worth mentioning because we dig all of their designs. The i-Basic (pictured far right) features a radio, a total 4 watt output, an alarm clock with snooze function and an S-Video jack for video output. There is also the Jet (center) and the i-Classic (right) with its detachable speakers, so nothing extraordinary here but they all do look pretty cool. The i-Classic is available on Amazon for $109.99, but it looks like the other two systems aren't available yet but ...
Yeh, we know that you're super sick of ipod docks at this point, but you have to give the Music Cocoon MC4 credit for its original aesthetic. The Music Cocoon has an amplifier and features hi-resolution pure tube sound via actual tubes. The result is an iPod dock with a retro look and great sound quality. And like the story goes with most other iPod docks, you can connect it to other audio sources via a 3.5mm jack.
We've seen a couple of cordless USB connectors for the iPod Shuffle, but the sConnector is by far the sleekest. The sConnector has a stylish protection cap that is rotatable and detachable which protects the main body from from any damages. And of course, it will sync and charge your ipod. Unfortunately there is no word on pricing and availability yet.
This portable speaker system for your iPod Nano, is really, really portable. The stereo speaker is customized to fit around your Nano with speakers and it does double duty by protecting your Nano with a plastic shell. In general iHome is known for their quality ipod products, so we're confident that these will be decent speakers. The iHM1B2 portable ipod speaker is compatible with both the 1st gen and 2nd gen Nano and retails for $29.99.
