Mercedes Benz Fashion Week in New York has just wrapped up, and for geeks like us it was the best fashion week ever. Here are four gadgetastic reasons why this year's fashion week was the best one yet. 1. Vivienne Tam and HP unveiled a new Digital Clutch netbook along side her spring collection. The new netbook is covered in champagne gold and inspired by a Chinese love story called "Butterfly Lovers."

This Fashion Week just might be the best ever for HP fans. Aside from the unveiling of the gorgeous new Vivienne Tam Edition Netbook, HP has also set up a chic boutique inside of Lord & Taylor in New York City. The store's opening purposely coincides with Fashion Week, as well as a global 13 country, 1 night only “Fashion’s Night Out (FNO)” program, led by Vogue Editor Anna Wintour, to promote retail and celebrate fashion. Many of the slick new products that we covered earlier in the week are on display at the boutique, so this is your chance to check them out before anyone else! That includes HP’s Envy 13, the HP Mini 110 by Studio Tord Boontje, the HP Pavilion dm3 and the new DreamScreens which are really all fashion statements in their own way. We love the idea of the boutique, it brings together two of our favorite things under the same roof - shopping for clothing - and gadgets! Kudos, to HP for continuing to be so ahead of the curve when it comes to integrating fashion and technology.

Hot on the heels of the success of our favorite netbook, the Vivienne Tam Digital Clutch, Vivenne Tam and HP have announced that a new digital clutch is about to strut its way down the runway. This Saturday, the next digital clutch will be revealed on the catwalk at New York's Fashion Week. The design for the new netbook will go hand in hand with Tam's spring collection. Whether you know it or not, Ralph Lauren has been ahead of the fashion meets technology tide for 10 years now. They launched their website 10 years ago at COMDEX. Then they were the first fashion company to have a Facebook page - which today boasts close to 500,000 friends. And last year they were the first to launch a Fashion App that showcased the Ralph Lauren runway collection. Oakley hasn't really modified or updated their line of MP3 sunglasses in awhile, but that hasn't stopped them from just releasing the same item again, just under a different name. Isaac Daniel, the company behind the famous GPS sneakers back in 2007 has now released their newest addition - Blue GPS. Featuring Bluetooth capability, those wearing the Blue GPS can be tracked by friends and family via their cellphones and Facebook. Just input up to five phone numbers of family or friends into your cell phone and then push the button on the shoe to link those contacts to it. The button not only links the shoe to the contact list but also to 911 in case of an emergency. If the button is pushed, a signal is sent to the ID Conex which provides the technology of the GPS tracking in the shoe.
