miSoccer iPod Dock is Perfect for David Beckham

Now that the iPom is out, Speakal is ready to launch its next novelty looking iPod dock the miSoccer. This speaker is shaped and designed to look like a soccer ball that Beckham would probably toss around. The miSoccer supports all generations of iPod’s and iPhones and even has an AUX input jack to connect a TV, gaming console, or other music sources. The controls circle the top of the soccer ball and its output is about 25+ watts. This is not something to replace your stereo with, but this is certainly a cute dock to put in your kids room or a dorm room. Both pricing and availability is TBD but it will be available in three colors: red, blue, and black.

The Parker House line of furniture may look traditional in design but it’s very modern in functionality. Inside its chunky wood design is an integrated dock for your iPod to cleanly be docked and connected to your speakers within the media center. Parker House also offers a USB hub to be integrated with the media console as well. It supports all the older generation iPods up to the iPod Touch and will only support audio playback through its speakers not video on your TV. Maybe its not a complete solution but atleast its something. The Parker House line of furniture can be found at Walmart, Amazon and many other online retailers and will cost you anywhere from $700 to $3000! You really have to not like wires exposed to pay that much!

The just released Sanyo DMP-692 may be just another alarm clock but it offers much more than that. It has an AM/FM radio, dual programmable alarms, and it hits the sweet spot by allowing two iPods or an iPhone and iPod to be charged at the same time. The system also allows for playback while recharging. The sound should be pretty decent too with an integrated rear-mounted subwoofer to provide additional bass. Philips Wake-Up Light Aims to Make Everyone Less Grouchy

Today myself along fellow journalists and bloggers got a chance to get up close and personal the Philips Wake-Up Light. Most people may already be familiar with the Philips Wake-Up Light. It made its debut in Europe first and then launched stateside only a month ago with a new sleeker and more modern design. For those who aren’t familiar with the device it helps those gradually wake up by softly increasing the light for a more pleasant and re-energized way of starting your day. Instead of just hitting the snooze or smacking your noisy alarm clock to shut it off. There are 20 different brightness settings that allow you to use it as a bedside lamp but mostly to let your rise in a soothing manner as the lamp gets brighter. There is also a Wake-Up Light with Dock for iPod that lets you rise to not only soft light, but your own tunes as well. There are 4 different nature sounds and an FM radio. The Dusk simulation helps you drift to sleep by softly fading out light and sound so you don’t see your entire day as you close your eyes. The Philips Wake-Up was inspired but a study that stated people enjoy waking up in the Summer rather than the winter. Especially those in Nordic countries were a sunny day isn’t always commonplace. When you think iPod dock, Sharp doesn’t usually come to mind but maybe now it should. Sharp UK has in Black/White, Black/Silver, and Black/Red the DKAP7 Docking Station. This 2.1 channel portable speaker system has a built-in subwoofer incorporating HDSS technology, and will charge and play up the 4th generation iPod. You can also connect other MP3 player devices to it via the Aux-in jack. The device works either by battery or electricity and includes a carrying case. The Sharper Image Releases 19″ and 22″ LCD TVs with iPod Dock and DVD Player

We have been keeping tabs on The Sharper Image ever since we spotted that their website had been relaunched in the Summer. Well low and behold their wares are starting to pop-up again and we spotted them at B&H and Amazon. The Sharper Image TSI-LCD22DVDi LCD includes a built in DVD player, USB and SD card reader and an iPod dock. It looks quite similar to the JVC LCD TV’s with the same feature. Some other features include HDMI, PC Audio, VGA, component, S-Video, and RCA inputs. If the 22″ is too big for you, B&H and Amazon also have the same model but in a 19″ version. It will be interesting to see this in the wild somewhere, but till then we will just have to wait for when its released, which according to Amazon isn’t till November 15 and both Amazon and B&H are taking pre-orders. We haven’t written about an iPod speaker for quite some time, so cut us a little slack.
