HP has a slew of slick new laptops and netbooks to unveil this week. At the highend, is the new Envy series. These two new laptops are essentially a brainchild of HP and their Voodoo Envy line. The new Envy13 sports HP's new radiance display that is exceptionally bright and colorful to behold in person. This is definitely one of the best laptop displays on the market. Weighing just 3.74lbs, measuring 0.8 inches with a 13.1 inch screen (16:9), this high performance laptop comes with 7 hours of battery life that can be extended up to a whopping 18 hours using an ultra-high capacity battery slice, that discreetly covers the bottom of the laptop. This is the laptop for long plane flights and road trips - never fight for a seat at Starbucks near an outlet again! Under the hood you can expect the latest Intel SL9000 series Core 2 Duo processor and an ATI Mobility Radeon HD 4330 512mb video card. The Envy13

Tonight at the Mercedes Benz Fashion Week in Bryant Park, Vivienne Tam unveiled her new digital clutch on the catwalk. Once again Vivienne has collaborated with HP to produce a netbook that is the true essence of fashion meeting technology. The new Digital Clutch is covered in a vivid champagne gold  with butterflies adorning its lid.  Tam designed the new Digital Clutch at the same time that she was designing her spring collection, so the two go hand in hand together. This creative process is pretty unusual to the industry. Often, the fashion is produced first and the technology is made to match the fashion like an afterthought. But Vivienne believes that fashion can meet technology and she worked on both simultaneously.

Hot on the heels of the success of our favorite netbook, the Vivienne Tam Digital Clutch, Vivenne Tam and HP have announced that a new digital clutch is about to strut its way down the runway. Hannspree, more notable for their creative TVs has now entered in to the Netbooks market with the release of the HannsNote.  It easily fits into a backpack, pocketbook, etc...Weighing all of  2.9 lbs,  the HannsNote includes a 6-Cell Lithum-Ion battery that will last up to 5 hours on a single charge. Other features include a  Intel Atom processor, Windows XP operating system, 10" LCD, 1GB RAM, 160GB HDD, 802.11b/g/n, Bluetooth 2.0, 1.3MP webcam, 3-in-1 card reader, and full-function keyboard. Just like their TV's don't let  you down in their design aspect, the HannsNote comes in a high gloss black and white color which will aim to please the masses. We have to hand it to Incase, they're always pumping out laptop bag and iPod/iPhone accessories that are modern and very hip in design. Now, their latest collection for the Fall has been revealed. There is everything from backpacks to a laptop luggage, in different colors with minimalist yet attractive styles. The EO Collection includes all that you'll need to travel with your laptop, including a duffel bag, messenger bag, overnite bag, sleeve and accessory pouches. The Nylon collection offers up an assortment of colorful and slim backpacks. Maingear today announced the eX-L 15" notebook. It has a pretty sexy design for a gamer laptop, its packaging is a brushed aluminum with a matte finish.  Th eX-L 15" notebook tries to keep it light at just over 7lbs for a gaming laptop, which isn't half bad.  Inside, there is a powerful NVIDIA GeForce GTX 260m graphics card with a resolution of up to 1920x1200. It also includes support for the latest Intel Core 2 45nm processors, dual channel DDR3 memory up to 8GB, and an option for adding on Blu-ray drives.  The Maingear eX-L 15" will start at $1,899 for a base configuration.

Averatec is better known for their All in one computers, at least recent anyway, but now they have introduced a very sleek looking and affordable new notebook.  The Averatec N3400 is an Aluminum 13-Inch Notebook and the Lightest of all of Averatec's notebooks. Weighing less than 4 pounds, the ultra-slim, stylish notebook can be easily carried in a briefcase or backpack. The unit is currently available and retails for $799 and packs in an impressive feature set for the price. Check out the specs after the jump.

The LAbesace LIME DROP may not be the most feminine bag but it gets the job done. It's design is sturdy yet sleek with curves - especially at the base of the bag. The shoulder strap of the bag resembles that of a car's safety belt, and that means it is that much more durable. The interior of the LAbesac LIME DROP is indeed a neon yellowish green color, which makes it easy to spot any loose items in your bag. There are several compartments inside the bag. The laptop compartment was able to hold my 15" MacBook Pro even though it is suggested that the max size it will hold is a 13.3" MacBook. Once the laptop is in its compartment, a velcro strap holds it in place.  Other compartments will hold letter or legal size papers or notebooks as well as pens or cards. There is even a plastic see-thru area to slip in an ID card in case the bag gets lost.

I've been eyeing the HP Pavilion dv2 ever since it was announced at CES. Mostly because of its good looks and near netbook-like pricing. Also, it seemed like the dv2 could be the best of both worlds - an affordable ultraportable that is almost as convenient to carry around as a netbook, but with the muscle power of a heavier laptop. I am a power user, so the more performance at my disposal, the better. Design: The dv2 weighs just 3.8lbs yet manages to pack in 3 USB ports, a multi-card reader, ethernet, a PC express card slot, a lock port, and both HDMI and VGA outputs, which means that it can easily be hooked up to a projector for presentations or a large screen TV for watching movies. The build quality of the dv2 is excellent, it feels very solid with smooth round edges. When you hold it you can tell that it has been made with high quality materials. There is no flex in the system unless you try really hard to bend it, which is obviously not recommended. Notably, the left side on the bottom of the laptop gets pretty hot, especially during graphics intensive tasks like playing a video game or watching a video. The Toshiba M505-S4940 series is an already well rounded affordable 14.1" laptop, if not a bit dull. But that is all about to change. Best Buy is selling a new version of the M505-S4940 which gives the m505 a new look in the form of some streaking duotone lines on its chassis. The design isn't exactly the greatest we've seen on a laptop of late, after all Dell and HP have both been churning out some artistic laptop covers and designs, but regardless - this fresh look is welcome. We've seen some pretty hip and stylish laptop sleeves in our day, but laptop sleeves coming from well known labels are few and far between. Now one of our favorites - Diesel, has a new laptop sleeve named the Neosole. Today Lenovo announced the ThinkPad T400s laptop , a new thin and light laptop with unusual charms. Lenovo once again is marketing to business professionals, but the laptop also features some enhancements that anyone on the go would appreciate. The T400s was inspired by the similarly lightweight ThinkPad X300. It is super slim at just 0.83 inches wide with its 14.1 LED screen, and a solid state drive in tow. The laptop is also made of Monocoque reinforced fiber which makes it sturdy and rugged - this is the same type of fiber used to make bicycle frames and airplanes. Taking into consideration, how busy people are, Lenovo took the time to make sure that the T400s' keyboard (a neglected component on many laptops) has been designed with bigger than average keys. They also tightened the keys to prevent crumbs and other particles from crusting up on the keyboard, because we're all guilty of snacking while we work. The touchpad is also flush to the T400s so that a user can easily scroll, pinch and zoom without feeling cramped.

Colorware manages to get its paws on transforming every gadget, so it's no surprise that they are now offering color customization for the new MacBook Pro 2nd gens - that includes the 13", 15" and 17" versions. The Disney Netpal is a collaboration between Asus and Disney to bring you the Eeepc netbook, but reimagined especially for kids. The netbook is branded with the Eeepc logo but painted over with pink swirls, so that it's perfect for any little budding princess. It also has a webcam in the shape of Mickey Mouse.
