Talk about a cassette tape with an identity crisis...The USB Cassette MP3 Player will not only work as a stand alone mp3 player, it also works as a car audio adapter through your tape deck ( if you still have one) , and as an SD card reader for your computer. I'm shocked they couldn't fit a USB hub on it too! The cassette MP3 player plays tunes off of the SD/MMC cards and has full controls all on the face of the 'cassette' for playback, volume, etc..The package includes a car charger, earphones, and Mini USB cable. The Cassette MP3 Player retails for $22 at Brando.
Rilakkuma, the Japanese bear, might not have the same kind of popularity here in the U.S.A. the way Hello Kitty does, but in Japan this bear is in high demand. "All that is known about Rilakkuma's back story is that one day he appeared in the apartment of an office worker named Kaoru" (Wikipedia). But whether or not you have heard of Rilakkuma, if you like teddy bears, this iPod case is for you. The silicon cover transforms your iPod Nano 4G in to a bear complete with bear ears. You can pick up the Rilakkuma iPod Nano Silicone Cover for $26.99.
Philips launched the GoGear Vibe not too long ago and although it's not meant to be a direct iPod competitor by any means, it does do the job of being an affordable MP3 player and a serious alternative to the Shuffle.
In the Box:
The packaging is actually pretty smart as it offers a perforated area on the packaging to simply take the device out of it without cutting your hands or breaking a pair of scissors. The GoGear Vibe comes with a USB adapter, matching black ear buds, a booklet, and software for easy installation.
Design:
The GoGear Vibe's black glossy design itself is slick and easy on the eye. Its body is small with curved edges so the ease of portability is there, but unfortunately the quality of the operational buttons are a bit stiff. You can also hear a bit of clicking noise when you press on the buttons. However for this price point, I guess you can't complain too much since it is a MP3/Video player after all. Overall, the GoGear Vibe is a very portable device, fitting into the palm of my hand, it is great for running or using at the gym. I used it every morning for 1 hour in the gym and it lasted 7 days without having to recharge. The battery life is rated at 25 hours for audio and 4 hours for video.
Whenever I'm on a road trip I often find that I dont have enough car outlets to charge all my gadgets - specifically my laptop, iPhone and GPS all at once. However, with Speck's new RoadDuo you can charge two devices at once - it can power a device charged by a mini-usb cable as well as a device charged by a standard sized USB cable. This makes the RoadDuo the easiest way to keep your iPod and GPS system charging at the same time without taking up two outlets. You can pick up the RoadDuo for $24.95.
This vintage clock is one you probably saw in your grandparents home way back when. But with a modern twist it is back and this time it can support MP3 players. Just plug the external device into the back of the alarm clock and you are all set. There are volume control and station knobs, AM/FM options, an analog clock display and an alarm with snooze button. Oakley hasn't really modified or updated their line of MP3 sunglasses in awhile, but that hasn't stopped them from just releasing the same item again, just under a different name. The Oakley T-Pain Split Thump MP3 Sunglasses is exactly the same as the original, but this version is a collaboration between Oakley and the artist T-Pain. What has changed? Well they will be available in a high gloss polished black, has a design on the very tip of the arm of the sunglasses, and will come pre-loaded with 2 hit singles: “FREEZE” by T-Pain Feat. Congratulations to Laura S. of Collinsville, Mississippi. She won the SanDisk slotRadio player in our Father's Day giveaway. Below is a copy of her winning entry.
I'm responding to the enter to win thing that says to send y'all an email about why my dad needs to win one of these. Honestly, it would move him up from the 50's. He's seriously still stuck in about 1959. I'm married and don't live at home anymore, but it was all we could do to get him to accept a DVD player for Christmas. He didn't want one. Then, we had thos how him how to ...
The SanDisk slotRadio player is an unusual digital audio player because it comes preloaded with music right out of the box, 1,000 tracks to be exact. Check out our full review of the SlotRadio Player here. Want to win the SanDisk slotRadio player for your dad for Father's Day (or for yourself)? To enter send us an email about what your dad is currently using to listen to music (whether he is already on to his 10th MP3 player, or maybe he is still using a portable cassette player) and why he could use the SanDisk slotRadio player.
Today Philips unveiled a slew of cool new products, ranging from new digital audio players, to spiffy all in one remotes, to iPhone speaker systems and slick landline handsets. Here are some of Philips new products that especially stood out for us.
The clip-on GoGear Luxe MP3 player with Bluetooth headset is looking pretty slick. It lets you switch from music to calls with a single click. It also features a music shuffle mode, an amazing 100 hour battery life, an FM radio with 20 presets, and its display shows caller ID and numbers. It retails for $79.99.
Another entrant into the already littered MP3 player market is the SPI Metallic 1GB MP3 player. Marketed towards women because they are tiny, come in various colors, and are cheap. Doesn't that sound like a shallow description now does it? This 1GB player easily clips on to your clothes and includes earbuds and a USB adapter to transfer music to it. It supports both MP3 and WMA and you can get 50 free downloads from emusic.com with purchase. All in all not a bad deal I guess for only $19.99, even if it really is a 2G shuffle ...
If you don't have SiriusXM then most likely you are still enduring commercials on the radio. The one place they can be heard but not seen. The Commercial Eliminating Table Radio And MP3 Recorder lets you record music off the radio without the annoyance of commercials. Back in the day when I has a using a tape-deck to record my music, I would record the song and then pause when the commercials would come hence eliminating them. This device learns the pattens of a specific radio station you choose to listen too and then after two or three days the radio will automatically record songs and then upload them ...

There are plenty of audio recording attachments available for the iPod, and there are also audio recording apps available for the iPod touch. But if you are serious about recording audio and you want to use your iPod to do so, than the Alesis ProTrack Stereo Recorder is the closest thing you have to a pro solution. All you have to do is dock your iPod in to the device and cover it with the attached protective clear shield, and you'll be ready to start recording in the field. The device lets you record 16-bit, 44.1kHz or 22kHz stereo digital audio without connecting any additional equipment. Additionally, the device's ...
Coby is trying something different by not selling just a USB Stick MP3 player but also including a pair of speakers with it too. The Coby MP20016 will hold up to 1GB worth of music and support MP3 and WMA files. The two mini stereo speakers that are included have a 3.5mm stereo plug for use with any audio device and doesn't require a power adapter. The USB-Stick MP3 Player is rather simple with no LCD screen and controls are on the body of the device in the shape of small teeny buttons. The best thing is the price which is only $14.09 - ...
You keep your iPod, I'll take the Moo-Cow MP3 player. This too adorable MP3 player is shaped like a cow's head with the controls located on its face. It can store up to 4GB worth of songs, which isn't half bad, but it has no display to actually see what you are playing. However it does sport an LED indicator. It also probably doesn't sound the best, but sometimes just being cute works. A set of earbuds are included and it is available in pink, blue, and white - the Moo-Cow MP3 retails for $30.00
Philips has three new GoGear digital audio players to show off, each with recession-friendly price tags. First is the Opus, which has the biggest display of the bunch and is sporting "FullSound, a Philips-patented technology that enhances the sound quality of a MP3 file before it is sent to the speaker for professional sound quality." It also has support for Rhapsody and Audible subscriptions, comes packaged with sound isolation headphones, and it has a wide 2.8" display. The 8GB Opus will retail for just $99.99
Next up is is the Aria which is also compatible with Audible and Rhapsody subscriptions. But some of the Aria's Stand out features include a 30 ...
When you think of Black and Decker - MP3 player compatibility doesn't usually come to mind. More like the Dust Buster does. But like every other company in the world, they too are jumping on the digital audio bandwagon. The Power To Go - Power Supply/Digital Radio isn't meant to jump start your car, but actually power up your smaller gadgets when you run out of juice. It has two 120V AC outlets, built-in rechargeable battery up to 12 hours, and built-in LED area lights for use in emergencies. The biggest coup is that that it has a MP3 player compartment with a USB port to play ...
We got to take a look at Samsung's new DAPs which include the P3 that was announced at CES. The P3 is the successor to the pretty successful P2. The P3 features a 3" widescreen touch display with haptic feedback, stereo Bluetooth, DNSe™ 3.0 sound enhancement technology , and FM radio. The P3's body is made of a reinforced die-cast metal casing which is supposed to help withstand fingerprints and scratching. In person the P3 looked pretty slick and the body felt strong and well made with a bright and colorful screen to complement. The P3 will be available in May with the following pricing: 8GB: $149.99 / 16 GB: $199.99 / 32 GB: $299.99.

Samsung's other new DAP is the Q2, which is obviously their Nano competitor, with a Nano busting price. The 8GB version retails for $99 and the 16GB will be just $129 when it goes on sale in April. The Q2 weighs just 2.04 ounces and boasts a 50 hour battery life, DNSe 3.0 sound enhancement technology , an FM radio, and a 2.4" QVGA TFT Screen. It will be available in the colors black and white.
Nothing new here except for the color of the W Series Walkman MP3 Player which is now pink. Obviously Sony believes its making enough money with these to release another version that might appeal more to women.. .Cause you know pink makes all the ladies go wild! The W Series Walkman MP3 Player for those who don't know, is an MP3 player and headphone all in one which enables those who like to partake in activity not to have to worry about wires other than the one around their head. The W Series Walkman MP3 Player retails for $69.99
And the most uninspiring DAP design of the year goes too... Coby's MP600 Video MP3 Player takes design cues from a certain MP3 player that you may or may not have heard of, the iPod Nano. The MP600 sports a 1.44" LCD screen that can play back MTV video files, JPG photos, read text files, and the device can play back MP3 and WMA files as well as allowing you to listen to FM radio. But overall the most exciting aspect of this player is its price tag, which is just a bit over $20 for the 2GB version, with a slightly more expensive $29.99 4GB version ...
