Dapreview has a review of the Frontier Labs Nex 3 Mp3 Player. To be blunt, there isn't anything extraordinary about this Mp3 player except the fact that it comes in a few colors including pink, red, yellow and grey. Aside from its simple looks, it's relatively small and has an LCD screen with backlight, a 15 hour battery life that runs on an AAA battery, it plays Mp3, WMA, and WMA-DRM files, has an FM tuner, and voice and line-in recording. Here's a new gimmick that yet another company is using in their attempt to get you to buy their Mp3 Players. The F850 mp3 player series comes in different colors corresponding to the color of your Astrological sign. ~Rolls Eyes~ Atleast the F85 has decent specs with the ability to preset 30 FM stations, voice recording up to 36 hours via a built-in microphone, 7 EQ modes, and a two-colour OLED screen. The Gucci Case (top Left) costs a pricey $195, which is about the same price of a 4 gig Ipod Mini. Gucci was actually one of the first designers to make Ipod accessories. The Nachus EMP-Z coin-sized mp3 player puts all other mp3 players to shame in terms of size, weight, and being wearable. I4u has a review up with pictures of the player. I think that this mp3 player has a lot of chick appeal to it, being that it can really be worn as an accessory and it has a simple and refined design.

Iriver has a new line of T10 flash mp3 players. The T10 line has a 1.1 inch 64k color LCD display, a 53 hours battery, supports WMA, OGG and MP3, has a clock function, and FM-Tuner. It's also pretty light at just 1.7 ounces. It comes in 3 different versions, a 256MB in lime green, 512MB in a girly Cherry Red and a 1GB in orange yellow which i'm personally not crazy about because it reminds me of a New York City Taxi.  Currently these players are only being released in Iriver's home country Korea which is a shame because Iriver tends to me great sounding mp3 players and it'd be nice to have one with a color screen. Forget getting one of those bluetooth stereo headsets to use with your mp3 player, how about just getting a wireless bluetooth mp3 player with bluetooth built in. The NHJ 5GB Bluetooth Wireless MP3 Player has 5 gigs inside, a 14 hour battery life, and comes with a wireless headset. Will this little wonder ever make it over here from Japan? The new Panasonic D-Snap Mp3 Player is definately sharp looking with its shiny oled display and tiny size. It supports AAC, Mp3 and WMA, has an FM radio, voice recorder, and a decent battery life of 14.5 hours. Music files are stored inside it via secure digital cards, which can be pretty convenient but at a price of $199.99 it just doesn't seem like much value - I can't even tell if it comes with the 1 gigabyte secure digital card shown in the picture? Infosyncworld has some info on a new pair of unique headphones from GPX. These headphones are worth mentioning because of its mp3 & FM Playback capabilities that are built directly into the headphones. It also comes with 128mb built in plus optional expandability via MiniSD cards which are pretty affordable. The GPX SportX HW6805DT is scheduled to be available in May for $99 U.S.D., which isn't a bad price for such an unusual item.

Sony hasn't been successful yet in beating the ipod, but perhaps it can diminish the popularity of the ishuffle with it's upcoming NW-E507. The NW-E507 is a 1 gig Flash mp3 & wma player with an FM tuner, a 3 line display, and a 50 Hour battery life. And it happens to look really good too. T3 mag claims it's due out in April. Dapreview reports that the Toshiba Gigabeat F-series is now available for preorder at J & R.  These color lcd mp3 players look pretty slick and the battery life isn't bad at 16 hours. They've been available in Japan for over a year now but Toshiba is finally releasing it here in the U.S. I think Toshiba would have been wiser if they had pushed the U.S. release out earlier. With the Ipod Photos already out, the F-Series just doesn't look as enticing as it did a year ago. The YP-F1 is a new addition to the Samsung line of Mp3 flash players. The Yp-F1 has a clip on the back so you can wear it on your belt or clothing. Alternatively it can be worn as a necklace. It also has a faceplate so that you can change it's color.  It supports MP3, WMA, ASF and Ogg Vorbis. Plus it has an FM-Tuner, and an alarm Clock. I can't think of too many mp3 players with an alarm clock. It'll be available in 256mb, 512mb and 1GB. And it weighs a little above 1 ounce (32g)! This 5gb player doesn't just play mp3s and videos, it also plays and records tv shows via it's built in tv tuner. It's got a 2.2 inch oled color screen and it plays DIVX files. Having a TV tuner insides might be a good enough reason for people to shell out the money for a personal video player. No reviews are out on the CN-2210 yet, but T3 Magazine says they'll have a review in their next issue. I'll keep you updated.

Dapreview has pictures of the new Iriver H10 junior. If you haven't seen the H10 in person, it's very slick-looking and also quite small. Pictures just don't do it justice. I can only imagine how tiny the junior must be since it looks siginifcantly smaller then the H10. But wait, it gets better - the junior reportedly has a 60 Hour Battery life! It's a shame it only has 1 gig inside of it. If you're looking for alot more space than the h10 and the H10 junior then check out the one on the far left which is the upcoming 20 gigabyte model.

My friend was looking for a new larger capacity mp3 player to replace her current 1.5 gig Rio Nitrus. She's never been a fan of ipods, and wanted to be able to play a variety of different audio files formats. The Zen Micro which is available at Amazon for $229 caught her attention at first. Then she changed her mind when she noticed the Yh-820 5 gig player with a color screen at the Samsung Store in Manhattan. The design of the YH-820 was really nice, and is very much a woman's mp3 player in terms of looks - I can't see a man carrying around one of these as easily. I searched high and low for reviews of the YH-820 but I wasn't able to find one. I wasn't able to find many merchants that had it either, it seems that it is a relatively new item. Luckily enough we found a few retailers in New York that had it - better yet, we found one that was selling it for $199. At that price we figured how could we go wrong to try it.

Yesterday's rumor was that the new ipods that'd be announced today would all have color screens. Today that rumor proved false, and I'm a bit dissapointed. But their new line up isn't half bad. They now have a new ipod mini with 6 gigs for $249 and they extended the battery life on it to 18 hours. The old ipod mini with 4 gigs is now $199. - Amazon.com has the older Ipod Mini for $179 .
