After testing the beats by dr. dre last week, it was pretty much settled that there would be nothing else that could compare, it basically accomplished everything you could want out of an expensive pair of headphones. However when was I was asked to review Atomic Bass from Radius, I was taken by the fact that for small earphones it claimed to also deliver excellent bass perfectly suited for Hip-Hop and Dance music. Was this a joke or was I going to be surprised.... I was about to find out.
There will only ever be one 90210 for me, 90210 2.0 be damned. Nothing will ever top the original West Beverly gang. So for those true hard core 90210'ers, you may want to get the limited edition 90210 engraved iPod Nano from the CBS store who are also distributing every 90210 season on DVD. It features Brandon, Kelly, Brenda, and Dylan (sniff love them) in all their 1992 second season glory engraved on the back of the Nano. It's available in Black or Silver and in 4GB or 8 GB capacity. It's a bit pricey, $219 for the 4GB version and $269 for the 8GB but there are only ...
The Birds Nest Stereo speakers are extremely unique looking thats for sure. Supposedly this item operates as stereo speakers but I'm not even sure if it looks like a birds nest...in any case it is powered by a USB cable and has a very feminine look with its purple hue. There is also an audio out cable to plug into your audio device. We can't say for sure how good the sound is on this thing but you will certainly get a alot of comments or ashes from cigarettes if they mistake it for an ashtray...the Birds Nest Stereo retails for $12.98.
Update: I was kindly told that this was ...
Ironically, Bluetooth has been around for nearly 15 years; However, for most of this time, this technology was dormant. Thus, leading some experts in the technology field wondering whether Bluetooth would become what BETA players and its technology had become with the advent of VHS technology during the 1980's ---- Extinct (VHS had won out over BETA).
However, with-in the last few years, technology and electronic manufacturers have found resounding uses for Bluetooth. Almost everyone is using a Bluetooth headphone these days with a Bluetooth enabled cellphone, computer, and most recently mp3 players. We have seen Bluetooth spawn from version 1.0 to it's current inception (version 2.0). Thus, what this has meant to consumers has been a robust version of gadgets! No where is this more notable than with Bluetooth headsets.
Who didn't see the Sex and City movie this summer? I know I did. So what better way to remind myself of the ladies with their cosmos and designer clothes than the Sex and the City: GraytLittleSpeaker, which is a portable speaker for the iPod. Now I can take a little piece of SATC with me to the beach or wherever I think I will need a portable speaker. It comes in hot pink with a picture of high heels and a martini glass on it. What more could you ask for?! Better yet, there are no batteries required for it to operate so it's green friendly as well. ...
Like the vintage slideshows that you were tortured to sit through and view of your great aunts vacation, digital picture frames are becoming this generations version of slides. As people wait and stare at the next rotation of pictures that pop up on the frame and then the following narrative "oh and that's little jimmy pretending to jump into Niagara falls." So it comes as no surprise that now there is a wallet size portable 3.5" digital photo album from Coby. It's practically wallet size and will store 400 pictures on its 1GB flash memory. In addition it will also play MP3 and WMA files, has a SD card ...

The Sansa Fuze Mp3 Player is a delightful DAP that sports a whole bunch of features that the Nano doesn't - it's got an FM Radio, voice recording via a built-in mic, it's got a Micro-SD slot, it plays DRMed WMA files, it has a photo viewer, it plays back MP4 videos on its 1.9 inch screen - and most importantly it's quite the charmer in the looks department. We have one 8GB silver Sansa Fuze to give away. (Though the Sansa Fuze does also come in pink, red, blue or black). Just send us an email with the subject "Silver Fuze" and one winner will be chosen at random.

iHome has the perfect pink accessory for your MP3 player or iPod, the iHome Portable Speaker System (iHM3P). This cute little portable triangular-shaped speaker will catch anyone's attention with its SRS TrueBass Sound enhancement, protective carrying case, and line-in jack for any of your players. The iHM3P is perfect for any cheap pink lover and retails for a very affordable $24.99. Granted it's not feature packed but the price is still right. And if pink isn't your thing, there is also a nice neutral black version available.
This isn't the first set of portable iPod Speakers that Roxy has come out with, but it's just as welcome. This latest edition of the i-P22 iPod Speaker system (AKA the iPod Speaker Case) sports a floral pattern as opposed to the previous edition's polka-dots. Feature-wise, the device sports the same slim hard cover case as well as the ability to run off of 4 AA batteries or an AC adapter. So overall nothing to write home about, except for the fact that it sure is darn pretty for an iPod speaker. Roxy's iPod Speaker case retails for $119.
The Powerlink 3-in-1 Battery Pack/Data Sync/Flash Drive will do just about anything for you. It is an "emergency" charger for you iPhone/iPod - in other words, it's great for traveling. It will also operate as a 2GB USB flash drive, and lastly sync your iPhone/iPod with your computer. All it's missing is the ability to make you a sandwich. This all in wonder unit will cost your $49.99.
It seems that just about any alarm clock or speaker system nowadays only wants to dock an iPod. But there are plenty of other music loving gadgets out there that would like to be docked too. The GrooveCell is one such device that will let you dock your MP3 cellphones. This little speaker on the go folds up into a small compact shape for easy travel. It's powered by AA batteries and it will even work with MP3 players or notebooks by using a stereo cable. Pricing is unavailable on the site but Cygnett's products do seem to be available in the US as well as Europe, so keep ...
The i-XPS Soundbox is the perfect companion for lounging out by the pool or at the beach. This portable speaker will enclose your iPod Nano (1st, 2nd, and 3rd generation), iPod Mini ( If anyone still has this), iPod Classic, as well as other MP3 Players. Ok, so we've never heard of Maxx Digital, but they do have one interesting DVD Player. By interesting, we mean that it certainly looks familiar. The Maxx Digital PDV-8500BLK 8.5" TFT looks a lot like a popular game handheld, you know, the PSP. Spec-wise the unoriginally designed widescreen Maxx Digital PDV-8500BLK 8.5" TFT can play back DVD, DVD+/-R, DVD+/-RW, CD, CD-R/RW, VCD, SVCD, and it supports JPEG, MP3 and MPEG4 video files via its built-in SD, MMS/MS card reader. It also comes with a remote control, AV cable, and carrying case. Not bad for $130.
Macally's PowerTune is one of those iPod accessories that just make sense to get. Designed for the iPod Classic and 5th generation iPod, the PowerTune is a portable speaker that also moonlights as a battery charger. But that's not all folks, it also doubles as a protective case and a stand. The speaker itself has two built-in 500mw speakers with volume control, while the device recharges your iPod's battery from power drained from a USB port. The PowerTune retails for a reasonable $39.99, which is probably less than the total you would spend if you bought all four types of accessories.
In April we had the chance to go to the Samsung Spring Fever event and check out some new products being released soon from Samsung. One of the items that struck us as especially unique was the YP-S2 MP3 Player aka the "Pebble." It was tiny and adorable and definitely female friendly. It would certainly give the Apple iPod Shuffle a run for its money. So because we begged and pleaded to play with one, Samsung was nice enough to send us one to review. So now we get see if the Pebble is really Bam Bam.
When you look at this DAP, you're probably thinking - oh no, not another cheap iPod clone. But the GPX MW3837 does have something to offer that we wish high-end Mp3 players would included - dual headphone jacks. Forget using a cable splitter, the GPX MW3837 lets two listen to music together. It's other features are standard - 1GB of memory, it supports WMA DRM files, it's got 1GB of built-in memory and it comes with a carrying bag. Not too shabby for $34.99 - get one for the kids for road trips.
Generally Hello Kitty branded gadgets are way overpriced, though we did spot a cheapo HK MP3 player a while back. If that last one wasn't quite what you're looking for, here is another cheapo Hello Kitty MP3 player that looks like it's a relatively good value. The Hello Kitty Pendant MP3 Player features 1GB of memory, a voice recorder, and 6 equalizer presets. Not exactly cutting edge here, but for $39.99 with a matching set of pink headphones, HK lovers will appreciate it.
I guess what can be called the lunchbox of the 00's, the Rockin' Lap Desk is a cushy bean bag that can hold your homework, possibly a lunch, and it doubles as a portable speaker that you can plug your MP3 player into. The Rockin' Lap Desk can be personalized with monogramming in different colors or font. It also comes with a sturdy top that can be used as a desk. Four Double AA batteries are required to power the speakers. The lap desk retails for $129.00.
