Even though Lady Gaga may be nipping at Madonna's heels, she is still and will always be the reigning Queen of Pop. So what Queen doesn't have an iPhone App? The Official Madonna iPhone App has made is appearance at the App store. You'll be able to view videos, photos, Twitter, and more. You will even be able to purchase her songs directly from the App. The best part? It's FREE!! So you can have Madonna goodness 24 hours a day all on one App. I guess the App omits the uncut 'Justify My Love' video in order to make it past Apple's adult content issues as of late.
Have you ever wished that one of your application windows could stay afloat on top of other apps while you work? Personally, I often like to watch YouTube while I work, but the YouTube window always gets lost beneath other app windows. For a while I have wished for a way to keep the YouTube window on top of all my other windows, and finally there is a way to do that - at least if you're a Snow Leopard or Leopard user. Afloat is a free download that lets you keep specific windows afloat on top of all other windows. On top of that, Afloat will also let you pin certain windows to the desktop, resize windows from anywhere (not just the corner),

HouseKeeper is available for $1.99 at the App store.

Wow if you thought iPhone/iPod Touch Apps couldn't get any more ridiculous this latest one takes the cake. iSurgeon is a beauty app that just doesn’t let you see how you will look with a new hair color – no no. This one lets you see how you will look post plastic surgery! Created by surgeon Dr. Michael Salzhauer - iSurgeon features two modes: Game Mode and Advanced Surgery Mode. Game mode lets you play doctor on patients and you are provided with hints to give your patients the desired results. It's like
Intel has just released a public beta of their netbook App Store, Intel AppUp. The apps available on AppUp are all optimized for netbooks. AppUp is loaded with a variety of free and paid applications. While it is positioned for netbooks, the apps seem to work on any PC (but resolution might not be optimized). If you have a netbook it’s definitely a great source to find apps made for you without having to go through any hassles.
I was lucky enough to get a hands-on peak at iHome’s new iPhone/iPod App which will be free for everybody. The integration into their iA5 and iA100 alarm clock speakers was outstanding. Seriously. The app, iHome+Sleep, is positioned as a beefed up alarm clock with a phenomenal user interface. Before I get to the application I will explain the integration. When iPhone is plugged into the dock of either speaker sets you can adjust their settings. You can change the time (or sync it to your iPhone time), change the display/brightness, and adjust EQ settings. On to the application (which I got pretty excited about)…it is optimized to work with the iA5 and iA100, but it is by no means any less usable without the devices.
The new Songbird Media Players will be included in the Philips' GoGear portable audio video players. This will allow users to transfer their music collection to their GoGear portable audio video players, share playlists, find new music, purchase songs over the web, sync videos and photos and discover favorite bands that will be playing in their area. Consumers can add media to Songbird by importing their CD collection and from the music that is already on their PC. The first set of integrated partners for Songbird include the 7Digital and Songkick online stores. 7Digital makes recommendations for new music based on what customers have actually been listening to recently, while Songkick ...
It's too bad this app wasn't released before the Holiday season began! Fastmall makes your life easier when looking for a specific store, restroom, food courts etc in your local Mall.It will give you turn by turn navigation much like Google maps does outdoors. FastMall does not use GPS inside the mall so it will not crash if a signal fails. In addition, you can chart the best course for a leisurely shopping trip, even at the largest mega-malls like Mall of America. When you need a restroom just tap the toilet icon or shake your iPhone, and FastMall shows you where the nearest restrooms are. Interactive maps
When you go to CES the Dating Game doesn’t usually come to mind. There is a good chance if you're using Snow Leopard, that you're not using your Mac to its full potential. Most Macs bought within the past yer or so have 64-bit processors which can take advantage of Snow Leopard's 64-bit mode, but Snow Leopard defaults to booting into 32-bit mode. Running your computer in 64-bit mode will generally be faster, though you do have to keep an eye out for some software with incompatibility issues. The easy way to boot in to 64 bit mode is to hold down the 6 and 4 keys each time you boot.
Its all happened to us....you run to the bathroom in a club or restaurant after having a large helping of beans. You don't want the ones around you to hear you go but you have to or you will bust. Well now there is an app for that too! Cover Up is an app that disguises any noises when nature calls. The app offers up five different noises to choose from, for instance playing running water or a hair dryer noise on your iPhone or iPod touch to cover up those embarrassing sounds. The app also comes styled to look like a makeup compact to really drive it home that this app is for the ladies. The Cover Up retails for
A Britney Spears iPhone App. Do I really need to say anything else? Oy...I could use all her songs to make up some grand ditty of how now you can make sure she finds Amy, or help her count to three, or prevent her from saying "Oops I did it again!" But I won't, instead I'll just let you know that Britney Spears has her very own iPhone app that can let you get exclusive messages from her, access to 100's of images of Britney, follow her on Twitter, and lastly enjoy Sparkler. Basically its a concert companion when Britney does actually sing instead of lip syncing. You can hold up the Sparkler at her concert as she makes you feel all swoony and soft inside. This is certainly much safer
The Macbook multitouch trackpad on new Macbooks makes Internet browsing a treat. You can swipe back, swipe forward, pinch to zoom, two finger swipe to scroll...it has become a real pleasure to navigate the interwebs. But just when I thought the trackpad did it all, I discovered how useful middle click on a mouse is. Middle click allows links to be opened in new tabs or closes tabs with just one tap. Unfortunately, until Apple releases middle click functionality we're stuck using cmd+click to achieve the middle click...or are we? MiddleClick (for Snow Leopard) brings us the three-tap middle click for our multitouch MacBooks and Magic Mice.
