The FreeAgent Theater HD Media Player is a pretty unique product, and in some ways it's the first of its kind. There are an assortment of multimedia hard drives out there that are designed to carry multimedia content like videos and music from your computer that will play on to your TV. However, with these types of products you are locked in to that specific hard drive. The FreeAgent Theater on the other hand is just a hub. In a way you can think of it as a DVD or VHS player with its own built in software that plays movies off of a medium. In this ...
Is it a TV? Or is it a picture frame? Actually, it's both. The Hannse.Folio 10" LCD television from Hannspree features a simple (not digital) picture frame for you to slip a photo into as well as an LCD TV right behind it. The design is perfect if you feel the need to disguise your LCD for some reason. It also trendy and different and will fit in with any decor. Ready to watch TV, just flip the picture frame back and reveal the LCD right behind it. Currently though, we could fine no pricing or retailer selling it.

Not technically gold but gold colored, Bang and Olufsen have come up with the Beospray, which is applied to the anodized aluminum surfaces of some of its video and audio equipment. The Beospray enables designers to make utilize this exclusive golden hue for future design concepts. It's being marketed to business to business clientele, hotels, and maybe The Donald... this certainly won't come cheap (and iteven says so in the press release!) and it sure will look gaudy...
As the dark cloud of February 17th looms over us, especially to the detriment of senior citizens across the country and my parents, this video from Funny or Die was just too appropriate and sad not to mention. I've already helped a few of my senior neighbors in my building convert to digital (with the help of digital converter boxes) who had no idea what I was talking about but did "ooh and ahh" over how crystal clear their picture was now that their TV has gone digital. This is indeed this generation's equivalent of helping an old lady cross the street.

When the LCD is turned off, the HiddenReflections™ Television Mirrorworks like a regular mirror. The TV also sports discreet MB Quart speakers. The Big Lebowski was one those movies that became a cult favorite. Personally, I never really got nor wanted to watch this movie by the Coen brothers. Fargo was more up my alley. But for those who love bowling and love this movie, you may want to check out the 10th anniversary limited edition. You'll get extras and the widescreen format as expected. Too bad it doesn't include a Blu-Ray disc too. But the most interesting part is that it comes packaged in a limited edition bowling bowl case - Which is apropos for the film. They'll think of anything to get us to buy a DVD we already ...

We may all be feeling like we are back in the stone age these days with the economic crisis and many other depressing things in the country currently, so lets get this little TV to really complete the flashback. This retro styled Brionvega Doney TV looks like it fell out of the 60s. The Doney TV was the first in Europe to have a transistor and now it has been brought back, albeit with more modern technology under the hood. Even though it lacks HD and a digital tuner, it's really not meant to be the one and only TV in your home, but rather a show piece of an era ...
When it comes to your home theater, bigger is always better. But most people cant afford a 25k 70 inch plasma screen. However a sub 4k projector capable of projecting up to 70 inches sounds much more feasible. We got a chance to spend sometime with Mitsubishi's new 1080p HC7000U projector and we came away mightily impressed with its picture prowess. Honestly, most of us at Chip Chick are Plasma/LCD folk, but when you add up the numbers, the cost of a projector over a Plasma/LCD makes sense if you're looking for a truly large home theater experience.
