Upcoming Mustek DMS-100D Tries to Take on Slingbox

So if Slingbox does all of that already, why would we bother with this fella? If they make the DMS-100D a lot cheaper then the Slingbox we'll be all over it. (Source: Stuff Magazine, June '07)

The Mvix MX-760HD. It may not be as elegantly designed, but it isn't ugly either. And anyway isn't it what's on the inside that counts? On the inside the Mvix MX-760HD trumps the Apple TV in many ways. For starters it has support for a ton of more formats than its Apple counterpart; such as Divx, Xvid, VCD, WMV, ASF, AVI, OGG, and WMA files. And it has a maximum output of 1920x1080 versus the Apple TV's 1280x720 resolution. It also has a hard drive capacity only limited by how much you put in to it. Free Live TV Stations on Your Computer with the TVU Player

The Free TVU player gives you acces to live streaming TV stations for those running Windows. The TVU selection isn't half bad, they have some NBC and FOX stations from around the U.S., as well as several other stations from around the world. And we hope that the selection continues to grow. It took about 30 seconds for us to connect to a FOX channel that was playing Seinfeld. Once the show started, it played pretty smoothly. Unfortunately some other channels we tested didn't play as well and kept cutting out. Still, we all love freebies, and the TVU Player is one worth checking out. ITVN Aims to be a Cheap Cable TV Alternative

ITVN offers standard definition on demand TV via a small set-top box and a speedy net connection. We like that you can pick and choose what you want a la carte, so that prices start as low as $9.95 a month. Unfortunately their selection is very limited. Starz and Encore movies for $14.95 a month just isn't grabbing our attention for the moment. However, karaoke enthusiasts might like ITVN's unlimited access to karaoke videos on demand for $9.95 a month. Overall, if eventually ITVN can get some bigger players involved, it might one day make a great cheap alternative to Cable. (Source: PC Magazine, December 05, 2006)

PaneLock Security System Locks your Plasma to the Wall

We have locks to keep our pricey notebooks safe, so it seems only sensible that we should have some way to secure our big expensive Plasmas as well. The PaneLock Security System is made up of integrated theft-resistant clips that latch the mounting bracket arms to the rods on the wall plate. A security screw then locks the pieces in place. So the only way for someone to get your display off of the wall is with the special security screw. It's either that or take the whole wall with them. Either way, for $9.99, this is a solid investment. However the PaneLock Security System is only available for certain CTM and ...

HANNSpotto LCD TV is Available in Pink?

We might be jumping the gun, but based on several photos on Hannspree's site, the Potto TV sure looks like it comes in the color pink. Putting that possibility aside, the Potto is a pretty standard 15 inch LCD TV with a 1024x768 resolution, and a 500:1 contrast ratio. It also has a very simple, yet modern design going for it. But does it come in pink? We're still not sure, because when you head over to their store page, the Potto has different photos in which it appears to be something closer to a dark grey. And its description says that it is made of fields of aubergine, silver, ...
