The Zpen by Dane-Elec is a useful tool for anyone who does a lot of taking notes at meetings or in class. You can write or draw on any type of paper and as long as you have the receiver on the very top of the page it will save everything you are writing which can then be downloaded to your computer. You’ll be able to decipher those sloppy notes that you took in chem class or from that important memo during the meeting. The best thing is that all of it can be converted to text on the computer and used for other reports etc… down the road.  With its 1GB capacity it can also be used as a storage device to hold music, videos, pictures and files. USB M.A.D Game Pad is Indeed a Bit Maddening

USB M.A.D. Game Pad is certainly one of the most unique looking gamepads I have ever seen. It does have your standard D-pad and the buttons to smash. However, the buttons aren’t notated with an “O” or “X” or even a “A” or “B”, in fact the entire controller is blank with just white keys on black. But the craziiest part is that this mini game controller even comes with a detachable steering wheel, if you get in the mood to play a racing game. Not all that bad for a controller that is meant for travel but personally I would just throw my X-Box 360 controller in with all the rest of the junk I carry. The downside is that it only works on a PC… and who plays games on a PC anymore… It’s available for pre-order at Brando for $20 and will be released sometime in July.

Polly want a computer?! The USB Talking Parrot is the perfect companion for those who always wanted a parrot and just didn’t want to commit to one or if desired, playing pirate for the day. Plug the parrot in via USB and it will sit there minding its own business, but speak too loudly for it to overhear your conversations and it will start to repeat random things you have said while flapping its wings. I guess being the #1 manufacturer of pocket knives and pocket tools is just not enough for Victorinox, which started transforming their tools in to USB drives a while back. Their newest all in wonder tool is the SwissMemory Laser which sports a 2GB capacity, and will not only store data for you but laser someone in the eye as well. There are several different versions available. The SwissMemory Laser 2GB version will cost you $140 without tools or you can get the SwissMemory Flight Laser for $148 which includes standard tools like a scissor and metal file.
